Host & Stay - West Cliff Retreat

The location was quiet and felt safe. Lovely walk back along the sea path on a night as the sun set. The house was tidy, well presented, thoughtfully furnished and had most things we needed for our stay. Parking was great! A bonus after a long car journey. Good to have a separate room from the children and fold out bed in our room. Beautifully clean showers and bedding. Nice walk into town either along the beach or via the sea view path. The house is lovely inside and mostly well kept. We would definitely want to stay again!

The hob had a damaged ring which made us a bit nervous about using it and we had not been told about it. The kitchen could do with a blind up in the sink window as the flats at the back can see in on a night. Some tongs in the kitchen would be a welcome addition, and a washing up bowl for the sink would make it easier to wash up. The chairs outside were rusty - I honestly don't think they are needed. The towel rail in the en-suite was about to come off the wall. But the biggest thing for us was the bunk bed. It needs tightening up. The whole bed moved/swayed as one of my children went to lay down for the night, and he was scared to sleep up on the top, so slept on the fold out bed in the main bedroom.

Location. Good quality kitchen equipment. Comfy sofas.Outside area (we had 2 dogs). Parking.

Would have liked a washing up bowl. Shower control in en-suite needs attention. Build up of dust in some areas.

Location was great. Beds comfy. Good showers. Comfortable accommodation. Would stay again. Easy to book and to get into accommodation.

Outside area at back had lots of weeds. Tables and chairs were rusty and need replacing. There was a shortage of glassware (wine glasses) & cutlery. All easy to remedy stuff which would make it a lot more welcoming. A freezer drawer in the fridge would be nice.

Lovely retreat it was lovely and warm when we walked in and felt very homely

The phone signal in whitby was awful however when i tried to use the wifi in the property it would not connect i checked the password 3 times but it still insisted that the password was incorrect.

Convenient location. Spacious. Good facilities. Cleanliness.
