Hotel StarFish

Our best hotel in the Galapagos Islands and during our South America trip. Everything is renovated, new and modern. The rooms are attractive, very clean and the daily room service is excellent. Finally a hotel that thinks practically when furnishing the rooms. There is enough storage space and shelves as well as possibilities to hang things up and dry them. The shower has perfectly hot water with high water pressure. The owner and all the staff is very friendly and helpful 24/7, you feel welcome all the time. The location of the hotel is very good, a few minutes to the beach, great restaurants and bakeries within a minute's walk.

Nothing the hotel can do anything for, but there is a street dog barking a lot at night. That can happen everywhere.

The staff Carlos was very kind and attentive to us. The room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was good too! I sometimes didn't want to go out because the room was so comfortable with a nice AC! Comparing to what we paid in other islands, this place was definitely worth every penny.

Great attention, friendly management, very clean

The hotel is in a good location - walking distance to everything. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and there was daily room service. The room was big and there was a private patio with a sofa looking onto a courtyard. A big clothes drying rack was provided which was very helpful. Communication with the host before the stay was very good. The WiFi was good. The shower was hot. There was AC in the room. There was a hose to wash off beach sand before going in the rooms which was a nice option. There was a common fridge and electric kettle to use and filtered water. Segundo the host was so friendly and accommodating. We had an afternoon ferry and he offered for us to keep the room until we had to leave for the ferry which was very helpful. Definitely recommend this property.

No hot water at all. Had to shower and shave in cold water

clean and tidy, shower even had hot water which was a first for us on Galapagos. small walk to the main part of town but it’s a small place everywhere within 5/10 mins

Staff and hotel was great!

Super spacious room. Easy check in. Owner makes an effort to communicate in English. Not the greatest location but everywhere is workable . Good value for money, but would pay a little extra and stay somewhere else next time.

Got charged $20US for a small load of washing which was outsourced. Could have taken it in ourselves and paid a quarter of that. Also refused to organise a taxi for us when we were leaving, saying she couldn't help, but she was obviously in a hurry to go somewhere. Issue also with the hot water, had none the first day but did the remaining days.
