Never ate at the restaurant

First room was horribly noisy. Second room far better but TV non-functional first night.

My room was too small, very noisy within the hotel itself. The shower head needed to be adjusted so water did not flow onto the bathroom floor when the shower was turned on with the door open. TV was too small and required 2 remotes to operate. Unfortunately, even with satelite TV there were no English language channels. I found no staff that spoke English.

We arrived Wednesday April 8 and checked out on the morning of the 12. The official price was 500 pesos per night but they gave it to me for 450. They even have a better deal at 400 pesos on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I used to live in this neighborhood for two and a half years so I know that Colonia Reforma in Oaxaca is a good and safe location. A taxi ride to the Zocalo costs 40 to 45 pesos or use the bus for 6 pesos, soon to be 7 or 8 pesos.We had room 18, a good size room with a very good bathroom, closet, a free bottle of water, cable TV and air conditioning. Included is coffee, juice and a two piece toast with butter and jelly for breakfast. Other mexican dishes can be ordered for very low prices. 40 to 50 pesos. The cleanliness is impeccable, the staff is very friendly and very helpful and this small hotel is very charming. There are only four parking spaces inside so if you get back late in the day you will have to park on the street which was not a problem for us. We had an excellent stay and for this price of around 400 pesos(27 U$) you can plan another vacation in beautiful Oaxaca.
