Host & Stay - Harbour Mist Cottage

There are no rails to put towels on so you end up with a wet towel next time you shower;TV was difficult to operate, we were initially given the wrong key code,and although we were told we would be able to park our car somewhere, there was no clue as to where that was! That said,location was brilliant and we had a great time!

A wonderful place to stay! The apartment is right by the harbour, with a charming view and close to the ruins. Very spacious, comfortable, and well equipped – the kitchen is perfect for cooking home meals, and the cozy living room feels just like home. Big plus for the parking space just a few minutes away. Perfect for a family stay – highly recommended!

The bedrooms are located in the attic with low ceilings. This was a bit inconvenient in daily use, as it’s easy to forget and bump your head – especially taller guests need to be careful.

The weather..

1. Scruffy and weedy frontage. First impressions were bad. 2. No welcome pack. 3. 1 toilet roll in each toilet. 5. No cleaning fluids. 6. No table to take outside, for drink or snacks. 8. Dangerous taking food down stairs for dining table. 9. Lots of rotten wood in property 10. Bathroom smells Musty. 11. Front Bed Room window looks like it's never opened. 12. Back bedroom.. banging legs on posts sticking up at end of bed. 13. Overall. Could be modernised and made very welcoming. Would not recommend or book again. 14. Walk to offered free Parking 3 mins.. It was 10 mins uphill did not used. 13. 2am Wed morning. Carbon monoxide alarm going off. Kept reading 00 then 22..rang in, to your number . I was told prob faulty batteries. Took it down to check Firstly miss matched batteties and should they not be all the same..also no spare ones in the house anywhere. I was told by the operative on the phone if it happened again. Email text or call. If it happens again. I'm calling the fire dept.. E mails bounce I have no number to text Phone takes ages to answer

Amazing location, exceptionally clean. There was everything in there you would need for a short stay & it’s in a quiet location (except the seagulls). The parking space at the nearby property was a god send, as there is never any on street parking during the summer.

The bedrooms! It does warn about the low beams but they are exceptionally low & in places where you are 100% going to hit your head on them, I feel like I still have concussion! The twin room is extremely small & feels very claustrophobic. The beds are shorter than standard & only really suitable for small children. The location of the property means it’s difficult for dropping off your bags & it would not be suitable for anyone with any kind of mobility issues.

Host could have answered text regarding parking And nothing was mentioned about how low the bed rooms were wife is 5ft 2 and still managed to bang her head a few times

Lovely clean cottage, close to town but quiet. The tap in the kitchen was very wonky, we worried it might come off when we used it.
