Host & Stay - Sunflower Cottage

Great facilities for children with a IKEA highchair and travel cot. The house was modern and clean. The ground floor bathroom and bedroom was really accessible for one of our guests. The bedrooms are very large with great storage. The utility room was a great bonus with a young child. The garden is large with furniture. Parking in great and next to the door. The location is right in Seahouses and everything is walkable. Highly recommend for families.

The company that looks after this property contacted us after booking for us to pay a deposit fee, which was not explained in the booking information. Our booking information said that all costs were included. We contacted this company explaining that all fees were included in the booking. They agreed and we did not need to pay any deposit. Watch out for this email as you do not need to pay it. This needs to be looked into by whoever owns this property.

A lovely clean,modern and fresh property.Lots of hot water and good showers.Well furnished bedrooms with comfortable beds and plenty of storage.It has a good size garden too, with outside furniture. Excellent location,3 minutes walk into Seahouses which has good cafes and restaurants.

The living room needed more table lamps. It would be nice to have a bbq.

Lovely warm cosy house. Modern, clean and great location for Seahouses, Bamburgh and Beadnell.

Downstairs bed wasn't as comfy as the upstairs rooms and the electric shower was quite temperamental but we just used the upstairs shower so it wasn't a big problem.

Lovely and clean, very homely. Had everything we needed for our self-catering holiday. The highchair was very useful. Short walk into town. Large garden.

Great convenient location, really clean and tidy. Well equipped. Everything worked as hoped and as it should. Location was fab for local facilities and for Northumberland generally.

Overdose of communications from booking.com and Host and stay throughout the booking process in the run up to the trip. (Eg payments and confirmations). Everything seemed to be doubled up which took up more of my time than I liked and was a bit confusing.

The property is very modern and felt new. It was very clean. The furnishings and equipment are still in very good condition. Everything worked. The location is excellent with the center of Seahouses within walking distance. The parking is good with (it appeared) 2 spaces per cottage. Wifi was good and easy to setup. The skylight and the glass paneled banister on the stair case meant the entrance hall is full of light. Large utility/laundry area we didn't use but would be great if you wanted to dry clothes from outdoor activities.

The quantities of consumables was low for the money we paid. i.e. 2 dish washing tablets for 4 nights and a family of 5. One roll of toilet paper per bathroom... We had gardeners try to enter the house which frightened my daughter - they then went round the back and mowed the lawn - there was no warning of this. While the furnishings were relatively new and in good condition they felt quite cheap - which is ok but seems less well aligned with the price. It took us a few days to find the isolation switch for the ground floor shower room fan - not sure why that kind of switch should be off when we arrive. Strange niggle but light switch for kitchen is across the room (near the laundry room) from where you enter it (near the living room) - which is strange. Personally I didn't find the mattress that supportive. There is a huge walk in wardrobe upstairs - perhaps that could be an ensuite - which people paying that kind of money would be used to at home?
