Savoy Hotel

Me and my boyfriend got a double bed with an en suite for 4 days, 3 nights. The hotel was adequately close to the Pier without being too loud and provided some nice spots for sightseeing. There was a Premier nearby with wonderful staff and great options for when you don't want to walk far for snacks and drinks. However, cleanliness could be improved as I found a dead mosquito in the shower. The TV was great and offered many options to sign into YouTube, Netflix, Disney+ and more. The free WiFi wasn't the best at times though. We received two small sachets of body wash/shampoo for which wasn't enough for our stay so I recommend bringing your own shampoo and conditioner. Unfortunately, we did not receive a breakfast despite it being a B&B which was disappointing as this was not advertised. They did offer a community fridge and microwave though which both worked well. The room provided a kettle, coffee, teabags, milk, sugar and biscuits as well as two small towels and two big towels for two people which was great. Another good quality was the extension cord which was very long and allowed us to charge our phones in bed. Overall, I recommend this property but it should be noted that it is currently undergoing some renovations/maintenance.

Not at all happy with the room very basic extension leads instead of sockets very noisy doors slamming kettle was absolutely filthy window didn't close properly room needs updating. Good points nice clean towels sheets very clean nice hot water and toiletries.its ok for a 1 night stop over.

This is not a family hotel. It seems to be more of a hostel. It looks like the owners have started trying to update the property, but it is quite run down. There are not many electrical sockets, so extension leads hanging down and trailing across the rooms. The other room had a TV on the wall but the plug was just hanging down with nowhere to plug it in. There was a kettle and things to make tea and coffee, the only socket to plug into Was on the floor behind the door. The rooms were clean and towels and toiletries were supplied. The guy that checked us in was pleasant but we didn't see anybody about after that. We were kept awake by other residents screaming and shouting. We booked and paid for 3 rooms for 2 nights, but only stayed for one night. We booked another hotel along the road for the second night.

Very basic would not recommend, staff were nice

The Savoy did exactly what I needed (it gave me somewhere to sleep for the night) The service was excellent, I received phone calls to confirm my booking and to tell me when I can check in. The rooms were very well worn! Peeling paint and wallpaper. And a strong smell of smoke. The doors are not soft close either!

Don’t be fooled by the name this place is a dump

Cost reflected in basic facilities ie only one towel for two people. But okay for one night

It was the worst stay I have ever had was woken up from 3am onwards with boys shouting and fighting not sure if there was a lady involved was checked out by 745 this morning no sleep 😞
