Aston Sorong Hotel & Conference Center

Great room, food and drinks. The best thing about our stay was the very friendly interaction with the staff in the Gardenia Restaurant especially Rudy and Narlom. They tried to teach me numbers in Indonesian and were very helpful organizing an outing with the Aston driver. They made the start of our day very cheerful.

At 3 AM in the morning a man was trying to enter my room. He pounded and was screaming. I called front desk. Front desk is limited in English, it was hard for them to understand that I needed help and security. I yelled help and she finally understood. 20 minutes later a male staff person called. I explained what happen and I never heard back from hiim, needless to say I could not sleep for the rest of the night or the following night. When I checked out, I asked the front desk what occurred and no one knew anything about it. Therefore I do not recommend this place. It is unsafe.

Beautiful property across from airport on a noisy road yet my room wqs quiet and comfortable, and the pool very peacful. Staff was super friendly and helpful! Would stay again.

200% for the kindness and helpfulness of the receptionists at the hotel. During our 3-min-checkin they solved 5 issues for us, they were so to say reading our minds :) 100% for the breakfast as well. Nonetheless, during night’s raining our room got flooded… and as we had an extra bed for our kid in the room, there was no space to have nightstand on my side where the plug is - all of our electric devices were therefore placed on the ground to charge at night. As we woke up, realized, that our devices got water overall on them :( :( It was a costly night at this hotel :(

We’re here to begin our stay in Raja Ampat and will be transferred to our dive resort later today. The hotel is a stone’s throw to the airport and just took minutes to get here. Check in yesterday afternoon was easy and the room is quite comfortable with a mini-fridge, king-sized bed and lots of counters to open our luggage. The ac is cool and quiet and showers provided wonderful pressure and lots of hot water. The restaurant has a lovely variety of breakfast buffet offerings and our dinner last night in the Gardenia restaurant was quite nice. We’re just here for a place to launch before our scuba adventure and if that’s what your looking for as well, you’ve found a great spot.
