Salty Towers Oceanfront Cottages

We stayed at the Harbourside cabin. It was clean, nice size and had a functional kitchenette. The queen bed was very comfortable and shower has lots of hot water and pressure. The patio had good setup for chairs, bbq and table. Partial ocean view from patio (shrubs need trimming to expand view). Double bed in bedroom was good for my daughter. Only negative was the queen bed is in the main living area and the fridge was noisy. Not just a humming sound but a ‘click, click, click’ constantly at night (I had to turn it off). Hosts assured me they ordered another fridge and intend to replace it.

The jacuzzi facing the ocean was really good and the location on the beach was excellent. However, the photos displayed on Expedia were a bit misleading that they included 3 different cottages' photos and many of them were not accessible. For example, one of the photos showed there is a kitchen facing the ocean and seems to be large. We thought we could use it and brought our ribs to roast but it turned out not in the unit we are using (our kitchen was super small and don't have a oven big enough to roast ribs) and that kitchen was in the owner's unit. Would recommend identifying photos with their belonging unit numbers and make it clear which unit we are booking for in the system.

Perfect location, especially if you want to go on the whale watching tours. Easy access to west coast highway and provincial parks, trails and beaches. A nice place with a nice family operating it. This is not luxury. It a a clean, welcoming place in an outstanding location, and a great value. We will likely return.
