Flatmoen Natur Lodge

Everything was clean and tu hot tub was ready to use (heated in advance). The host was reactive and gave us tips to where to eat and order if needed.

Loved the radiant heated lodge, it kept it very cozy even when it was 3 degrees F outside. The bed was comfortable, and we watched the northern lights from bed and our porch every night. The Breakfast was very good, my favorite was the pancakes and bacon, and my husband preferred the English breakfast. The view of the hayfield covered in snow and overlooking the mountains was perfect.

This is nitpicking but part of the floor was delaminating, but with all of the snow/water and heat in the floor, I can see where that would be an issue. It wasn't terrible, just something I noticed.

Der Whirlpool und die Stimmung im Häuschen mit dem vielen Glas ist einzigartig.

Es hat wenig Stauraum, um die Kleidung zu versorgen. Ansonsten alles perfekt.

Unglaublich schön!!Die Polarlichter vom Bett oder Whirlpool zu sehen absolut traumhaft! Der Gastgeber und Personal unglaublich nett.Das Frühstück sehr lecker! Wenn ich wieder in Alta kommen würde definitiv nur hier !

What can you say about a place like this?! As its further away from any bigger light polution, your chances to see the Northern Lights are superb, once you have a clear sky. We only stayed one night and we saw them prwtty much from the moment we checked in until we fell asleep. Falling asleep with a view of this magical dance is like a dream come true BTW. We can also highly recommend to book the sauna (2h is perfect) - as the sauna has windows too, you dont even miss out! ;) The houses are tiny, but have everything you need: samll kitchen, hot showers and big windows around the bed. The whirpool is easy to set up and the electric beds are super comfi. Overall a great evening, night & morning at Flafmoen Nature Lodge.

It is true, that at -20°C the inside temperature isn't as hot, but you won't freez. We even had extra blankets in the room which we didnt use. Also, the kitchen is quiet small & doesnt have an extrector hood - that is something to consider for the next renovation maybe. But we are talking here about the extra icing on the cake!

Das Häuschen ist top ausgestattet. Kleine Küchenzeile, sehr gutes und kuscheliges Bett mit Blick hinaus in die Natur. Den eigenen Whirlpool haben wir sehr genossen. Der Betreiber der Lodge ist gut erreichbar und hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Durch die verspiegelten Fenster kann man von außen nicht hinein sehen.

Im Bad hat es ein wenig nach Putzmittel oder Abflussreiniger gerochen. Das Fenster öffnen und die Türe zum Hauptraum geschlossen halten, dann war es nicht störend.

Just the most perfect experience! The cabin is incredibly well thought out. It has a small kitchenette (with hotplate and frypans, microwave and fridge + coffee machine) which allows for meals as you are about 15mins out of town. But the pancakes for breakfast are ESSENTIAL to try. The hot tub was set at 40° when we arrived and remained like that the whole 5 days we were there. The bathroom has heated floor (essential in -8° and straight from the hot tub) and is a great size. The heading is perfect (electric heater and double glazing). Very comfortable tilt beds to see the lights from all angles (see photo) and curtains for privacy. I cannot recommend highly enough.

We recently stayed at Flatmoen Natur Lodge, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The lodge itself was perfect — the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the glass roof made it unbeatable for watching the northern lights from the warmth of our room. The cooking facilities were excellent and made our stay feel easy and relaxed. We also enjoyed a fantastic horse‑riding adventure, which truly topped off our visit. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel welcomed the entire time. Every moment was enjoyable. The location was ideal — not too far from town, making it easy to eat out or pick up groceries. And the spa was definitely the best addition; it made our stay even more special. We absolutely loved our time at Flatmoen and would highly recommend it.
