KNN Resort Mondulkiri

After a 6hr bus ride from Phnom Penh, we were greeted with welcome drinks and were offered to have our leftover take-away we carried with us from the night before, reheated. Our reheated meal was kindly brought to our room (no microwave in the room). The staff are all kind and courteous, and ensured all our needs were met during our stay. The resort is out of town, but the staff will organize a tuk tuk for $3USD. The menu is limited for vegetarians, but the chef is modified the menu to meet dietary needs. Their smoothies are delicious and will send them to go. They did this for us on our last day, with a fruit plate to go as well. If you are looking to refresh and relax after long travels, please make a stop here. Highly recommend.

Very clean room, amazing pool, lovely staff. When I told them my Wifi wasn’t working, they immediately came to fix it. When I went away for a 2-day jungle tour, they took great care of my luggage. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The location, the staff and the food were awesome. While our stay, it was so windy and it’s a different type of experience. The manager was awesome and very helpful. Staff speak English and that made the life easy.

If you are a business traveler or a person who really needs to keep in touch with your team working somewhere else online, this is not the place for you. The mobile data coverage is so poor due to the location and even the WiFi was horrible. The resort needs to really improve on WiFi. As a technology man, my advice is put more access points to every villa and also buy more bandwidth. Due to the windy situation, distance between access points are too much which leads to the issue. Also your bandwidth is not enough to cater the guests. At least have an option as normal WiFi free and high speed paid kind of. I really had issues with this internet problem since nature of my job needs connectivity even though on holidays.. rest of this things are awesome.

Great breakfast. Service was fast and they worked as a team. Other meals had variety as well. The cocktails were good and always offered with fried peanuts. We stayed for 5 nights and visited the Jahoo Gibbon camp and they have pick up from this hotel.

Maybe a few more hangers for towels in the bath and lighting above the mirrors instead of behind.

The staff were great and welcoming, added that they spoke some levels of English. The breakfast/dining area was clean and well-situated. It's also located in a spot near everything else.

At this price point and being more resort-style, I was anticipating isolation from bugs/the outdoors. At night, the bugs would swarm at the doorstep, and later would go into the bathroom and the front of the room. It was a bit difficult to rest peacefully and because very uncomfortable hearing bugs and seeing them when using the bathroom. I wish the door was sealed at the bottom or there was some preventative method.
