AC Hotel St Petersburg Downtown

Everything was excellent! Room was clean, comfortable, breakfast was delicious and staff was hospitable. Had a great night in downtown St Pete. We’re buying in the area and wanted to explore the area. Fun time! Hotel is so conveniently located!

The location was great but that was the only good thing about the hotel

Our room was exceptionally dark. We had very little natural light because the room faced a high rise building that was roughly 40' away. In the room, the lighting was also very dim. When we woke up, we could not tell if it was sunny or cloudy because the adjacent hi-rise blocked any view of the sky above. There was no private outdoor space at all. Can't remember if that was mentioned on the booking site. The in-room amenities were on the light side. There were shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower. The only other amenities included a bar of soap and a very small bottle of lotion. Earplugs were provided. There was a mini-fridge and a safe. In-room hot beverages included decaf and regular coffee. The tea selection was limited to Earl Grey & Decaf English Breakfast. I drink tea in the morning and don't expect it to be caffeine free. The pool was cold and mostly shaded by the hi-rises surrounding the hotel which is only 8 floors. The common area in the lobby was bleak. I was certain that I saw a really cool picture on the booking website that showed a nice common space. Super disappointed. Have stayed at other Bonvoy Marriot properties and had very good experiences.

Devon and Will were amazing at valet. Hotel was clean and close to the bay. Loved the hydration station had ice and water.

When I arrived at the hotel, they very clearly communicated that power would likely go out in the middle of the night. I had calls scheduled for the morning, but not until after 9 AM. A little before eight, I noticed that the Internet was down. I called the front desk and I was told to wait in my room and that someone would be there shortly to turn it back on. I patiently waited and waited. I called again and was told should be any time. I waited over an hour went by and no one came. I called the front desk again and was told that the Internet was on and that no one had to come to my room. They flipped a switch from somewhere else in the hotel. That was frustrating but I got on my client zoom call. Then, 10 minutes in, the power went out with no warning or notice. This was super frustrating because had I known that there was going to be more power outages that were already planned, I would’ve gone somewhere else for this call, but there was no communication about it that morning. The only communication said between 530 to 6 AM. After checking out, I left a message for Francesca who is the general manager. Three days have gone by and she has not called me back. There is definitely no responsiveness at this hotel and it clearly trickles down from the top.

Valet was great! Shout out to Devon, Bailey and Aiden. Pool is beautiful. Gym was clean. Location is ideal! Front desk staff is friendly.
