Tarzan Marriott On Penida

Loved this place so quiet and peaceful. They picked us up and dropped us from the ferry for no charge, so easy. Breakfast was great. Hired a motorcycle from them. Lots of places to eat nearby. Great Aircon.

Driveway needs some attention and could do with chopping a couple of trees by the pool as it got no sun.

The property was really clean, the staff were amazing and there was a bar you could get some drinks at without walking too far

The location of the property was a bit far from the main restaurants and the driveway was a bit scary to walk at night but it overall was quite nice. The plumbing wasn’t the best but wasn’t a major issue

Easy to walk to the dive centre, which was our main reason for staying in this part of the island, lots of great restaurant options also very walkable. The staff we very nice and it was the perfect base for our time on penida

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They assisted us with taxis to and from port ( standard fare on the island for any taxi any time is Rp150,000) They accommodated us with several special requests. The room, restaurant and pool were clean and comfortable. Restaurant-what we had was delicious, worth getting the with breakfast option, highly recommended! It was wonderfully quiet, at a good distance from the road. We enjoyed the walk through the greenery, but were limited on the main road to walking distance along a dangerous narrow busy road. Some restaurants and beach access within a few hundred metres.

If you are not mobile, the walk from the main road and the stairs in the property could be challenging. It’s best to have your own transportation on Penida anyway, but especially this spot. The restaurant needs more vegetarian or fish options on their menu, if possible.

Staff was excellent and drivers they set up for us were great! Also enjoyed the location and restaurants and beaches nearby.

Bed and pillows were a bit on the hard side.

However, the staff was friendly.

Please note: you are not allowed (satisfying) breakfast, you can only have one choice: pancake and tea, or omelette and coffee. The options are very limited, If yout want more, you have to pay. I was surprised. I will not recommend this for your honeymoon.

Good bed, place to dry clothes Some restaurants within a 10min walk

Breakfast with limited quantity, you have to choose one option among 5 options and they take a long time to prepare it (some days it took more than 20min). We ended up buying more food and coffee in a nearby bakery Cleanliness was average. Some installation were old (and not well maintained), giving the aspect of not clean The name "Tarzan" has a meaning: you have to walk 5min in the middle of the forest (paved way) to reach the main road. That means no lightt at night, so use your phone (if you are hiring a scooter, it is fine)
