Absolutely loved staying here and definitely would recommend this hotel to all. A real gem! Outstanding service by all staff. Stunning decor throughout the hotel/resort. Beautifully designed rooms that are comfortable. Great sleep. They even have an elevator for guests to go one floor up. Lots of open indoor and outdoor spaces to relax in. Beautiful pool, and beach area. Great food. Even have gluten-free sugar-free options and are very flexible with your desired meal plans. They even surprised me with a gluten free/sugar free birthday cake. Only stayed for 3 nights but had the best relaxing experience. The staff and manager are all wonderful and treat you like family. Definitely would love to come back here in the future and don’t miss your opportunity when choosing hotels - stay here and have a fantastic vacation.

Amazing place, amazing location, amazing food and staff. We stayed for 2 nights in this magnificent hotel, picture perfect!! We didn’t want to go anywhere else or do any visit, just stay and enjoy the hotel. You get a sense of calmness and harmony like never experienced before. We also enjoyed very much the food , exquisite. The best we had in the island by far. The staff is great, since the manager, the chef, and the rest of the staff and specially the young Akitha, who took great care of us at the restaurant!

First thing you note is its lovely architecture. I will simply give 5 stars for the lovely ambience courtesy of the soothing colors and interior decor. The staff was very attentive. The operations manager was constantly checking to see if we had everything we needed.... Special mention must be made of the check in process. We went to Kayyam House straight from its sister property Ahu Bay and they had already filled in the arrival forms with details taken from Ahu Bay and we simply had to sign it, which I thought was a very nice touch. We were told by hotel staff that the sea around Rekawa beach is not suitable for bathing or swimming at any point in time. But there was a lovely pool which we didn't use coz we opted to laze around and soak in the bath tub in the balcony;). There was a long stretch of very clean public beach which was relatively deserted but that was probably because it was the off season. There were many properties along the same stretch of the beach so I assume it would get crowded during the tourist season. But this property also had a tree cover separating it from the beach which I assume would help when the adjoining properties get crowded. The menu had quite a variety and the food was quite good, but not as exceptional as Ahu Bay though, which is currently at the top of my hotel/ resort list in terms of food ;) Similar to Ahu Bay, the portions were quite large. The highlight of the property seems to be the spa which we didn't have time to use. Coming from Colombo, we took the Bedigama exit from the Southern Expressway which is the closest, but if you want nicer roads taking Kasagala exit to Ranna is a better option. The last 750 meters or so, i.e. the turn off from Rekawa road was not in good conditon with potholes, but manageable. Google map directions were accurate. But a name board at the turn off would have helped since the conditon of the road makes you wonder whether you are on the right path. If you want a different and a more relaxed alternative to the usual down south beach locations, this is an ideal choice.

The whole premises was absolutely stunning. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The pool is beautiful, and although the ocean was too dangerous to swim when we were there, the beach access is great to have . Our room had a view of the jungle and the ocean and had its own jacuzzi! A very special place, would definitely recommend to stay here!

We stayed at Kayaam House for two nights to celebrate our anniversary and it was pure bliss! Our palm suite with the jacuzzi was so comfortable, relaxing and designed to help you unwind. Loved the room and the little treats they keep for you every night. Kayaam House has an amazing team behind it, led by Ishan the Manager who is probably the best host ever! He is so welcoming, friendly, helpful and always just a WhatsApp message away. The rest of the team, including the chefs and basically everyone was truly amazing, helpful and hospitable. The food was lovely - loved the lobster linguine!!!!! Sri Lankan fare is pretty good and you will be spoiled for choice when you order rice and curry like my husband did. Didn't have time to get into the main pool (or read the many many books available throughout the properly) because we were busy doing nothing and just enjoying ourselves in the peacefulness of this place. Definitely going to go again, probably for longer!

Fabulous stay at this boutique hotel who have everything down to a fine art. The team are attentive but not intrusive. It was the perfect end to a most memorable holiday in Sri Lanka. Five nights of sheer bliss. Thank you to all the team.
