What a stunning place! Homely yet magnificent but so comfortable and welcoming and all the staff were super accommodating and friendly. A real jewel of a find!

An absolutely lovely stay. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Allanah and she was kind and attentive. She showed us around, before escorting us to our room and answering our questions. Our room was beautifully decorated, warm and cosy. The bathtub was deep and sumptuous, the toiletries provided were fresh and felt lovely and the home baked cookies in the room were a nice (and tasty) touch. We had booked a table at Smoke for dinner, and when the reservation rolled around it was pouring with rain, so Allanah kindly drove us over in the minibus - a lovely touch. The meal was fantastic - we did the 5 course taster menu with accompanying wines and even bought a bottle of our favourite wine to take home. The restaurant kindly provided an umbrella for us to dawdle back to the hotel in the fresh air. Our sleep was I disturbed - the bed was exceptionally comfortable and we had a lovely rest. Everything about our stay was fantastic and I really must stress how much of an asset and a delight Allanah is - she’s a huge selling point for the business and really had the perfect balance of being attentive without being overbearing. This was our first stay here and we are already planning when we will be back.

Amazing property with lovely grounds. The staff are amazing and welcome you like an old friend and make you feel at home. Nothing is too big an ask! Definitely a new favourite hotel. Lots of treats such as cookies and tea / coffee. Very relaxing and perfect for switching off and recharging.

Hotel is beautiful in terms of design and architectural detail, however its restaurants are flooded with local residents. They are also there for coffee during weekends and bring dogs and children, making the place rather busy and not a quiet spot. hotel guests do not have the guarantee to eat there unless they book a place at the restaurant well in advance. I would advise 4 weeks ahead. Also our room smelled funny when we first arrived. Food in the Smoke restaurant is good but I wouldn’t say it’s excellent. Wouldn’t rate Customer service in the restaurant as 5 stars either. Reception staff however was excellent and so was the hotel breakfast.

This is an amazing hotel with excellent restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do more to help you. I loved the tour of the hotel & restaurants by the owner. We'll definitely be back !

Lovely place and staff!

Blessed with loved winter weather our w/e stay was great. We recommend taking advantage of all the activities on offer. We will be back for the resteraunt!
