AJIRA Resort Sahl Hasheesh

We had a fantastic stay at Ajira Sahl Hasheesh. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and the service was excellent throughout our visit. A special thank you to Hamdy and Sameh from the restaurant team for their friendly service and hospitality. We would also like to thank Muhammed, the manager, for ensuring everything ran smoothly. Ahmed and Mustafa from the activity team were amazing and made our stay even more enjoyable with their energy and entertainment. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to return in the future!

Location is good for the price.

Extremely disappointing experience and very questionable behavior from the hotel management. Inside the hotel there is an excursion desk directly recommended by the hotel staff and receptionist. Before paying, both the hotel staff and the excursion representative clearly told us that their higher price was because of better service quality and that EVERYTHING was included in the trip price. Based on this, we paid 3,400 EGP for two people. On the day of the trip, after arriving at the marina far away from the hotel, we were suddenly asked to pay extra money for towels (200 EGP per towel). This was never mentioned before payment despite us specifically asking whether there would be any additional charges. When we refused to pay these unexpected fees because they contradicted what we had been promised, the boat left without us. We received absolutely no service despite already paying 3,400 EGP and were left stranded far away from the hotel. After returning to the hotel, management first promised to solve the issue and refund us, then later claimed the excursion company was “separate from the hotel” despite operating inside the property and being directly recommended by hotel staff. The situation became worse afterward: * first they offered only a 50% refund for a service we never received, * then promised a full refund after checkout, * then delayed again blaming “accounting procedures,” * and we are still waiting for the money. Most concerning of all, before checkout they asked us to sign a document saying we had already received our refund and that we would not leave a bad review — even though no refund had been received at all. This experience caused major stress, wasted an entire vacation day, additional transportation costs, and completely destroyed our trust in the hotel. I strongly advise future guests to be very careful with any excursions or services promoted inside this property. Update: Management has spoken to me after the review and returned my money.
