"Lovely, homely cottage"

Was a great base for family wedding nearby. Would have loved to spend more time in, and enjoy all the home comfort that the cottage had to offer.

Lovely place, and very comfortable Excellent facilities with a well equipped kitchen. Lots of wood in the coal shed for the fire which was nice. Short drive to Kielder Forest which was the purpose of our visit. Would definitely stay again.

A couple of small things which are by no means game charngers. The, shower screen is a little short so a little water can get onto the bathroom floor. There was a coffee machine which was a lovely extra but the supplied pods didn't fit. Again nothing to upset your stay though.

Location was great

Frying pan requires changed. Shower screens bottom hinge needs sorting. Second bedroom door catch not working. Cooker grill was dirty and there was no cleaning sponge to use. Landing light kept turning itself off. All in all the house was very comfortable and and we would recommend it to anyone. Most of what we have mentioned was trivial to us but we thought we should tell you.

We visited Percy Cottage over New Year and as expected, Otterburn was chilly! Despite this, the property was warm, cosy and homely throughout our stay, even without us using the Log fire. The kitchen was well appointed and the property as a whole was very well maintained - it really gave us a feel of a home away from home. Directions for checking in and out were very clear - parking is available for a car behind the property. I would recommend the Otterburn Village Trail, starting at the Otterburn Mill, to anyone interested in a steady walk - although wear suitable footwear for mud if there has been rain. During our stay we visited the William De Percy in the Village and The Redesdale Arms which was 5-10 minutes drive away, both for food and drinks. Would recommend The Redesdale Arms - the staff were welcoming, the food was good, prices were reasonable and the view was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay - thank you!

"Perfect little getaway. I would suggest taking more toilet paper with you and maybe some kitchen roll. Other than that i"

Lovely cottage with pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nicely located for a visit to Kelder Forest and Lake. Very spacious and within walking distance to a Premier shop to get any essentials you may need.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this property.

"Lovley place to stay for a couple of days!"

9.0

- Stunning decor and cleanliness of the house - Secluded off road parking - Wood and coal available for the fire in the lounge - Great location as it was down the road from where our friend was getting married

- Just a watch out but the stairs are very steep! - Extra charge asked about a week before of £30 not included in inital payment

"Poor management of nice cottage"

4.0

Location for wedding at Petite Chateau was good. House was clean and decor was fun and comfortable

Didn't like the surprise of a further £25 being required one week before our stay - that should be built into the cost up front. This was an expensive stay (£200 per night in the week, outside of school holidays) but the check-in was late (4pm) and check out early (10am). The booking said late check out could be requested. Requested 11am check out but told this wasn't possible due to cleaning rotas. Don't offer things that aren't available. Nice coffee machine in the kitchen but pods supplied don't match the machine so not useable. Kitchen bin far too small. Fancy salt and pepper shakers were empty. Appreciate these are little things, but if you are going to charge a premium these are the little things that make a difference.

No expense had been spared on decorating and furniture.

They was plenty of wood and coal for the fire but no matches.so by the time it got cold and we wanted to put the fire on and discovered no matches the local shop was shut
