"Workers did their best "

3 day stay. No maid service. Workers at desk and bar were friendly, but hotel was clearly understaffed. Room was clean and hotel was in a good location. Limited food and wine selections. Probably a good place for a 1 night stay, but if you are staying longer, plan on asking for extra towels and toiletries.

"Could’ve been better."

Night light in shower room

We booked a king, they gave us 2 queens as they were over-booked. Desk receptionists couldn’t reach/find manager. After 30 minutes they somehow came up w a king room. Lobby area could’ve been cleaner.

Subject: Urgent: Billing & Refund Issues at Aloft Marriott Country Club Plaza Kansas City Attn: Expedia, Aloft & Marriott I booked a stay at Aloft via Expedia over 7 days before arrival, paying in advance per Expedia policy. Despite this, I was charged again at check-in due to two reservations—one paid, one “pay upon arrival”—and at a higher rate than quoted. How did the reservation not cancel after 7 days without payment? I arrived after check-in time, waited 35 minutes for my room due to understaffing, and then while dinnering with a friend, I received a notification of the additional room charge on my Navy Federal account, ruining the meal and forcing me to spend time on the phone. Now, Aloft/Marriott says it will take 7-10 business days to refund, even though I didn't occupy both rooms simultaneously. If you can charge upfront, why delay refunds? This experience is unacceptable and has damaged my trust. I regularly recommend your brands but will now advise against it. I demand an immediate explanation and prompt refund. If you keep removing my review I will find a way for this review to be seen trust me…

While the room and building were visibly clean, there was a heavy smell of mildew in the shower (617). Parking was expensive. Otherwise, unique, bright and colorful. Would go back hoping to not find mildew in next room.

There was zero shampoo in the shower. I’ve got long hair and I had already gotten it wet before checking to see if there was shampoo. And if you have long hair you know how annoying it is to get wet especially to find out you can’t wash it due to no shampoo.

"It was OK."

After we had been in the room for awhile, we realized the bathroom trash can was full of trash.

Rooms are very small. I know it's the current trend, but I like a top sheet.
