- Day one was fine. - Day two, 6pm: The hotel owner knocked on our door, we responded that we were naked. He didn’t respond, he knocked again, we responded. Then he tried to enter the room. We blocked the door, said “hello” and he ignored us again. After fifteen minutes of this he finally replied. - Day two, 10pm: There’s no hot water. The owner tells us that he can supply a bowl of hot water if we so wish, or we can checkout. Some guests did, by the sounds of it. Queue the start of back and forth text messages with him. - Day three: No hot water, again. We asked for compensation for the lack of hot water. Then, he messages us alleging that we’ve defecated in the bathtub, on the carpet, and on the towels. He tells us never to contact him again. Please don’t frequent this man’s accommodation.

Location, great for pubs, restaurants, parks and the Opera House. Room and facilities had everything we needed. Appreciated the fridge.

Can't think of anything we didn't like.

Neil was was an excellent host. Phoning me to confirm arrival time to make sure I could sign in. Took me through the room fixtures and fittings and how to use the card system. Even had a rising TV in the foot of the bed :-) The Thai restaurant downstairs, staff (Shelly) and food quality were brilliant. Decent price as well.

HA HA for this comment Neil. but the TV control batteries had run out. No worries for me I used the ones off the James Bod rising TV controller.

It was very close to the centre of Buxton it was a gorgeous room with a very comfortable bed with a bath and shower with bubble bath. I liked the firm mattress and the curtains blocked a lot of light which was lovely.

The property was fantastic I had almost no issues with the stay. It would have been nice to have a larger selection of tea/coffee selection to include herbal teas or hot chocolate as well but this is a personal preference, my check out and stay instructions were a small hand written note which made it a little difficult to parse it would have been nice to receive this info digitally or as a print out for clarity.

Lovely staff, very comfortable room, perfect location.
