If you like history go here, it's a unique way to learn whilst staying in a genuine Nissan hut.

"Step back in time to stay on a WWII POW camp - unforgettable experience"

8.0

Excellent refurbishment of these huts for self catering. Very comfortable accommodation with a very spacious bedroom at one end and a separate room with living, dining and kitchen area. Decent size throughout and had everything required for a weekend break. Was perfect for us staying with our child. The whole Cultybraggan site is fascinating and I enjoyed learning more about the history of the place. Loads to explore and wander around!

It was mostly perfect in terms of the accommodation itself, the only thing that kind of let it down a bit for me was the lack of interaction from people onsite. Access to the hut is via a key box at the door so no one to welcome you on arrival and info was a bit sparse inside on what to do in the area. I personally found the woman in the onsite museum to be quite rude and unwelcoming on both days that I visited. This let down the experience a bit for me overall as I work in the museum/visitor attraction sector and felt it could be better (a smile and hello costs nothing).

"A smart project with potential, but it needs a bit more love"

7.0

The huts are very nice inside, the place is very quiet and the bed was comfortable. Café 21 served a very tasty breakfast. In general this project is very clever just they need to pay more attention on the details.

I didn’t realize it was more like a campsite, and I don’t have any camping experience. So I didn’t know that I needed to bring my own shower gel, shampoo, or slippers. Plus, Hygiene could be more attentive

"Easy to book, a pleasure to stay , as always just wish I had more time to enjoy"

9.0

Location , easy to park , facilities just what you need . Perfect . If you did not want cook the on-site Cafe 21 was fantastic. We used it twice and indulged in an afternoon tea, cakes and scones .

Open environment, very comfortable, a home from home feeling.

"Improvement required to reflect price"

8.0

Location was in a conservation site and rural. Accommodation was as described, and cosy.

The property was difficult to find as there was no signage to indicate that our cabin was off the main road. The keybox was fiddly. The accommodation was surface cleaned, but attention to detail was absent. Underside of toilet pan and bowl dirty, edges of toilet flooring unclean, toothpaste on toilet door and kitchen sink had brown staining. Mug chipped and one had tea debris. Cattle bridge on entry to camp was not secure and noisy when traffic crossed. This started at 0630, so impacted sleep. This review would have rated higher if there was complimentary welcome items apart from coffee, tea and sugar. There was no shops nearby to purchase milk on late arrival. There were also no previous resident surplus items - salt, pepper, oil etc
