"Great central location"

Great location in centre of Ambleside but with copious parking spaces which are at no additional cost. Great breakfast included in the rate. Joanne, front of house, was funny, efficient, helpful. Hotel is clean and excellent value for money.

"Perfect"

Perfect location . Perfect rooms they were really clean and modern . The staff were lovely and the breakfast was unbelievable . A cooked to order hotel breakfast included in the cost , butchers meat was really really good . Definitely stay here again when we return to the lakes . The staff were amazing running the breakfast service both days of our stay . We will DEFIANTLY BE BACK

The Rothay Garth is clean and tidy,close to the town centre, and the staff are extremely polite and helpful. They also do an Amazing breakfast 🙂

Nothing to say here we’ve been coming for 4 years and every year has been excellent.

"Perfectly pleasant B&B in a good location"

Nice, simple B&B centrally located in Ambleside, which itself is centrally located in the Lake District. Staff were friendly, especially the young man serving breakfast who was working really hard to give everyone a good experience. Cooked breakfast was good. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere while I was there. Convenient parking on site.

Seems quite expensive for a no-frills B&B, but perhaps that's the Lake District. Rooms were fine and clean, but dull and kitted out for cost rather than character, as they often are.
