Swan Valley Serviced Apartments

Covenant to a venue, good to have a secure remote gate to compound. Although side gate did not lock, at the time we were there, so anyone could enter the apartment complex. Very limited items in kitchen. Stayed in unit 20 an upstairs apartment which was better than the ground floor ones.

Sofa bed was very uncomfortable sat on chairs in the meal area, needs replacing, a small brown bean bag in lounge room, not sure what it was for, maybe a foot rest? The apartment is showing its age and would do well with a makeover. Chipped floor tiles, marked and damaged walls throughout, which we have noted on other reviews that were posted quite some time ago. Bay 20, if you had a big car /4 wheel drive it would be very hard to park, only reversing into this bay, so beware.

The whole booking system. They don’t have …Live -Check in. I made my booking through Booking.com and thought that was all good and finished. How wrong. I got plagued with “requests” for a $200 bond, didn’t I. ? Never, have I endured this and NEVER again, will I.

No one to meet or talk to you. Had to ring over eastern states 3 times to check in. No code to front gate had to jump the fence to open gate. Another person I spoke to out the front had the same problem. Absolute joke of a check in procedure. But once I got in and got over all the frustration and driving many hours to get there it was ok.

The location was central to everything we needed.

We had to call for check in details when they weren't sent to me at 3pm as described. We didnt get to check in until 4pm after I had called 4 times to receive details. The walls were filthy, covered in paint chips and black markings, the toilet leaked and wasn't even bolted to the floor and the seat was broken and detached which moved everytime you used the toilet. The room stunk of bleach when we walked in, and due to being pregnant, we had to air out the rooms before I could enter. 38° day, and the aircon wasn't turned on prior as other places do for comfort. The airco vents were also filthy and hadn't been cleaned.

We were a little apprehensive about booking this apartment after seeing previous negative reviews. Our stay exceeded expectations. The apartment was spacious with a large balcony area, plenty of clean towels and toiletries provided. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, pans and utensils. Iron, ironing board, hairdryer, washing machine and tumble dryer were in perfect working order. The apartment was cleaned and towels/bedding refreshed half way through our 8-night stay. Parking was secure and there was a chip shop, playground and bottle shop around the corner (bottle shop also sells daily essentials which is handy!). We had a wonderful, comfortable holiday thanks to Swan Valley Serviced Apartments.

The shower head needs fixing (currently only one stream of water; perhaps the jets were clogged?) and air conditioning struggled to reach the bedroom area; perhaps a fan could be useful to supply to guests in future as temperatures exceeded 40C during our stay.

Couches, bed, room was a mess. Staff took me through a roller coaster for a refund when I was there no longer then 20 minutes after I seen the state of the room.
