Good position, in the Heart of Amman. Facilities, Good space and design.

Great stay at Hotel Philosophy! The staff were very welcoming, and my room was spacious and very comfortable. I slept incredibly well. Even though I only stayed for one night and didn’t explore the area, the hotel itself was lovely. The buffet breakfast offered plenty of delicious choices and was a perfect start to the day. Unfortunately I missed out on the rooftop restaurant which looked buzzing and fun when I peaked in after a long day.

Wenn man in Downtown zu einem akzeptablem Preis übernachten möchte, ist es eine sehr gute Wahl. Alle Geschäfte und Souks sind fußläufig erreichbar, die Restaurants auch. Die Zimmer sind mit Doppelten Fenstern ausgestattet, dazwischen zu verschiebende Mosikitonetze. Super Schallisolierung! Allerdings hatten wir ein Zimmer zur ruhigeren Seite. Frühstück im Restaurant Eatery im UG mit Ausgang zur Hauptstraße war gut, sogar mit frischen Eierspeisen. Die Parkplätze vor dem Hotel an der Straße sind meist erst gegen 17.00 frei, da dann die Studenten der Schulen nebenan nach Hause fahren.

Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Leider wird die Klimaanlage zentral gesteuert, aber man kann zumindest im Winter, wenn geheizt wird, auch kühlere Luft durch das Fenster reinlassen oder die Klimaanlage ausschalten.

The real let down of this hotel was with the cleanliness of the rooms. The rooms appeared to be recently painted or minor renovations. However, there was paint over the curtains, the bathroom had soap scum on the walls, the bed linen had seen better days, the rugs and curtains need a cleaning.

The hotel’s central setting was a major advantage for me, as it’s close to all the key attractions.

The drinks at the bar were either extremely overpriced or I may have been overcharged, which can happen in Jordan. I was charged 45 JOD (about 55 EUR) for just two beers and two mojitos. Definitely won’t be returning!
