Remarkable Boultons Barn with hot tub & opt sauna

The coffee machine and the quirky place/house.

It was a little to dark in areas within the property and had too use the lights alots. Loved all the old books but they needed a good clean as lots of cob webs and dust was on them.

A delightful place to stay and the perfect place of respite after a busy day. We loved all the intriguing details and brilliant selection of provisions. The WiFi connection was great, the kitchen was well-equipped and we really appreciated the dedication to sourcing local produce for refreshments when we arrived. The whole place felt cosy and comfortable. Paul was an excellent host, attentive and responded quickly to enquiries.

• Beautiful, rustic and quaint. • Completely silent at night, except for maybe the sound of droplets shaking off the trees and hitting the bedroom roof. • Excellent atmosphere and very friendly and helpful host. • Very generous donation of milk, bread, butter, a few farm eggs and even a beer or two. Not expected and really enhanced the stay. • There is a cat on the property

• King size mattress in the bedroom felt like it was on its last legs and could probably do with replacing. Felt quite lumpy and didn’t have any bounce to it. Perfectly adequate for sleeping but not especially suitable for other bedroom activities. • Wasn’t made clearly aware that there is a lodger living in the roof space directly above until I arrived. I’m not a noisy person but it still would have been nice to have known that because it affects the sense of privacy and seclusion. • Combination oven/microwave was locked, couldn’t figure out how to get it to work • The lid to the Smeg kettle was jammed/broken

Quirky. Bath. Hot tub. Breakfast provided - could just do with some marmalade. Tot of whisky by the bed.

Didn’t know there was a tenant above me. Not a problem but because I didn’t know, checked with Host as I could here movement and TV which I wasn’t expecting. Didn’t impact on stay, just need reassurance.

Exploring this accommodation was great, and it's a perfect place to get out and enjoy Devon. The little extras of bread, milk, eggs, and butter were a nice surprise, and Paul was very responsive on welcome messages and help if needed. The hot tub was a great treat at the end of each day.

Nothing, it was all great.

Comfortable, quirky and well kitted out. Paul is a master host.
