The Beach Boathouse, Carnoustie

An unbeatable location right by the beach and a fabulous view from the balcony . Super clean and very comfortable beds . Well equipped kitchen for cooking family meals.. We were a 4 generation family. The toddler loved playing on the sand just as much as great gran loved watching us from the balcony We hope to return.

The sofa in the lounge is not quite as comfortable as I'd like but taking in the view helps to forget .

The view at this property is exceptional. Watching the sunrise in the morning and sitting on the balcony was just perfect. We also liked the Woodburner and the history of the building. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

Just a few niggles that stopped this rental being perfect. The kitchen windows were dirty on the inside and some kitchen items weren't cleaned properly. The carpet was stained at the top of the stairs. The upstairs Seaview bedroom had a very soft bed that dipped in the middle.

Fabulous location and well put together space. Lots of nice touches around the boathouse.

The view was exceptional. The location was perfect for our family. The house was extremely comfortable with everything we needed. We had really nice weather which brightened the the already cheerful bright nautical themed house and it was like looking out at a picture perfect postcard.

We had one small issue and that was lighting at night with no curtains/blinds. If you kept the only lighting available on in the living room it wasn't very private as passersby could see into the house. My solution would be to change the ambience in the lounge by adding a lamp or some other soft lighting. We compromised by bringing the bedroom lights into the lounge area in the evening. We wouldn't have liked to block the view with curtains. So not an issue for us. This is a suggestion not a criticism. Hoping to come back with our Grandsons aged 13 and 18 soon (they loved this house).

Location was superb, beach house was first class. Would highly recommend for the perfect getaway to relax.
