La Casa de Castara

I stayed La Casa the Castara for 11 nights and loved the place. There is a number of apparents to choose from, each one unique and full of character. I stayed in 2 bedroom apartment which was ideal in every way. Each bedroom had en suite bathroom and there was open plan lounge with well equipped kitchen. Outside there is a big balcony with outside place to eat or just sit and relax. I loved the beautiful views from the balcony on the village and sea as much as watching hummingbirds flying around and feeding themselves from hanging down feeders. The location of the property is very convenient as it is located in the centre of the village with short walk to the beach, ships and local restaurants. It made feel like I was a part of this beautiful, tranquil carabbean village. The Casa the Castara is a family run property and the owners Narine and Scott are wonderful hosts who made us very welcome. I would be definitely coming back

There was nothing to don't like

This is our 2nd time staying @Casa de Castara, and won’t be the last. The place is nice and comfortable, and the owners are very accommodating. It’s steps from the beach, and people in the village are friendly.

Good location, close to the beach and there are restaurants and shops very close by.

Unfortunately, they were doing construction while I was there, so I did not get much rest in the afternoon.

Basic but clean and well equipped with plenty of space. Good air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Right in the centre of Castara and close to the beach. Shurlan, was very friendly and helpful and quick to answer any queries we had.

A bit noisy on weekend nights but we were expecting that because of it’s central location.

Castara is a lovely relaxed place with a fine beach set in gorgeous scenery. The Casa was ideally placed just a few paces from the beach, and numerous eateries. The air con works very well, the terrace was a great place to sit and relax. There was a fully equipped kitchen, and the host was like everyone in Castara, very friendly and helpful. A taxi from the airport to Castara costs 330 TT dollars. The place is very easy to find, and has a sign outside - right in the middle of the village.

I liked everything.

the lady who manages the property greeted me immediately upon arrival she saw that I was with my cousin not my husband so we switched to a room where he can sleep on the couch she knew I didn’t wanna sleep with him she quickly mopped the bathroom and bedroom then let us switch beyond the sweetest yet simple gesture EVERYTHING was on the property that u need a grocery store right down the hill to grab anything you may have forgot but this was truly like staying at my own apartment with neighbors who were very friendly everything u could think of was in the apartment plates pots pans spoons cups bowls cooking utensils a fridge and freezer stove microwave TV FREE WiFi bedroom AC fan for the living room the porch outside was a whole vibe I’ve never been to castera in Tobago but now due to this property I have a home the beach being right there and fishman ready to assist with taking u out on their boats also the grocery store down the hill had everything u could think of if you forget something just walk down the hill over the bridge and that grocery has it also make sure to stop by the ice cream shop near the grocery store their ice cream Is amazing!!!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience this was better than a trip to American Hotel or apartment the price was very well valued for all I received when I come back I refuse to stay anywhere else this is the place To stay

The fact that I couldn’t just live there for the rest of my life but outside of that there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property.

Host was nice, place is peaceful, easy accessible mini marts, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The apartment was very nice.
