Sandcastle Cove Resort

The screened in deck was my favorite place for watching the thunderstorm that came in. The beds were comfy and the common areas were spacious and clean. The property was stocked with all the kitchen gadgets we needed to fix some meals, and the home was very comfortable. Loved the community swimming pool and staff, as well as the staff to pick up keys..very kind and nice. The walking areas were perfect for evening strolls, even saw a cluster of deers making their way to the the watering hole.

I don't believe anyone had been in there for a while because I had a couple of cobwebs in the upstairs bedroom. The water coming out of the showers and sink in the kitchen had a very very very strong odor of sulfur (raw eggs). I informed the staff and they did kindly offer to drain the water from the tank (they let me know that this is due to stagnate water in the tank. I let the water run for 30 minutes and the smelled significantly decreased. Over the day and use, it had disappeared. The upstairs shower handles and spout felt like they were going to come out of the wall.

Unit was very clean except under sleeper sofa in living area.

Great location and plenty of space. Was not as clean as it should have been. 5/10 on clean. Second time staying at the property, first time was very clean.

The property was a little dated, but very spacious, comfortable and clean. It was perfect for two of us for one week.

Unfortunately, our visit was due to a death in the family. We didn't get to enjoy any of the amenities outside of the accommodations. We fully intend to return for a visit in the future.

The stay was great. We ended up with a better unit based on the one we initially rented due to the cleanliness of the first one. Comfort was great, kids seemed to be like they were at home. It was great.

The aesthetics of the property is dated, like my grandmother has better furniture than here. The jetted tub had stained rust/water spots. And there was a great number of spiders there that kind of spooked the kids. Fortunately we travel with spray lol.
