Nagara Boutique Hotel

Our stay at the hotel was mostly pleasant, and we were ready to leave a good review until the check-out experience spoiled it. Upon arrival, we asked to book a bike for one day—Friday—since we planned to be out on a tour all day Thursday. When signing the agreement, the staff member insisted on filling in the dates and handed me the key. Just to be sure, I returned a minute later to confirm that we only needed the bike for one day, showing her the calendar. She nodded and assured me it was fine. However, at check-out, we were charged for two days of bike hire. Despite our efforts to explain, they insisted on the two-day charge. This felt like a very dishonest encounter and left a bad impression. It's a shame because, apart from this issue (and a few minor things like some non-functional power points), our stay was otherwise enjoyable.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We like the workspace area a lot.

Guests staying next door were noisy. Even though we warned them, they didn’t listen and kept making noises because they were drunk. The hotel staff wasn’t on side and there was nobody to take care of the situation. So you are on your own if there is any problem you have at night. Even the security was loud and singing a song in the middle of the night.

Sometimes mango was falling down from the tree to the roof. But finally we eat them and they were good!

We stayed in the superior king suite and it was the perfect space for us to rest and relax after a long flight. The hotel is super calm and pretty, especially during the night. We enjoyed the breakfast included in the stay, simple and delicious. The hotel manager was great and the staff was in general really nice to our kids and made us feel super comfortable.

As other people mentioned in the comments, the location is not necessarily the best if you want to go explore (without a bike/scooter). That was not the purpose of our stay, and it worked perfectly for us to rely on grab to go to the beach or just walk to the very good cafe down the street (Oku).

Unfortunately on our last day at the hotel we were robbed. Money was taken from my wallet and my fiancé's. Cash was hidden in a locked safe. Everything happened night before departure at 5am where there was no one at the desk to confront about incident. Security was sleeping at the restaurant couch and did even wake up when we were passing with luggage. I contacted Manager Maria on whatsApp, she saw my message and did not reply at all. Totally ignored whole situation. I also contacted booking customer service. Please avoid and be careful.
