Sambo Mambo Beach Hotel

I stayed for one night. To be totally objective so these local hotels are able to improve to better standards.. this hotel needs a lot of improvement with the basic infrastructure in the room - it is very dated, and stains everywhere in the ceiling and everywhere. In the bathroom, the water facet is broken. There is no breakfast menu, only the local breakfast that is available as they are included in your room. They also charge you for extra black coffee.. There was some kind of karaoke happening at the pool area, and it was really loud where you couldnt rest in your room at all. One thing positive was the immediate response the front desk gives you when reached out for this noise, they immediately responded and quietened them down. Otherwise, everything was very average or below.

La propiedad es muy hermosa la vista y la mantienen muy limpias las habitaciones muy viejas el lava mano casi se me caía cada vez que lo usaba el aire acondicionado un ruido insoportable no se podía dormir la puerta de la bañera muy apena la podía mover es de vidrio y estaba super dura!! Y no se diga el toile cada ves que se usaba no tenia agua las habitaciones son muy viejas y la comida no es buena!! El personal muy amable menos la encargada te hace cara cuando reportas que algo no está bien.

The information online offered a 'partial view' of the ocean, which was false. There are NO rooms that offer any view of the beach/ocean. I made a reservation but when I arrived, was told it didn't exist...but they were able to 'find' the reservation the next day - after charging me twice. They also argued with me about both fees..I had to dispute both. do not stay here!! also NO HOT WATER!! and the pool was disgusting

El lugar es muy agradable, desafortunadamente a mi esposa se le perdió de la habitación la cosmetiquera que yo creo estaba en el lóby pero dijeron que pertenecía a un empleado, se perdieron los audífonos y un cargador completo de iPhone,

Property it’s good but bathrooms need maintenance shower door terrible,it’s was hard to opened always get stuck and water running out the shower ,chandeliers terrible location because the Ac unit blows and nosy and you never stop listening the chandeliers noise

They need carts in the Monterey airport to be able to put the logged

To all locals and foreigners alike, avoid this place like the plague… which it very well may be harboring. My family and I (including children, elderly, and disabled individuals) planned to stay here for 5 days, but cut our stay after only a single night due to a plethora of issues that the staff were unwilling to recognize: -Rat droppings were found in each of our 5 rooms -A piece of the ceiling in one of the rooms literally fell off in the middle of the night -An honest-to-god scorpion was found in that same room and the staff simply stated “that room hasn’t been used in a while and hasn’t been cleaned or maintained” -The rooms have a rancid smell -The bedding is covered in mold -Water comes out of the tap smelling of metal/rust and has a brownish tint If you are thinking of staying here, save yourself the hassle of having to find emergency accommodations after this place severely disappoints you. We voiced our concerns to the staff, with the “owner” on the phone, but neither were willing to do anything about it. As you can see on other comments on here management doesn’t care about these reviews, so it is simply my hope that I can disuade others from having to experience what we had to. To Sambo Mambo, if you’re going to charge premium prices then try to make your hotel less of a s**t hole.

Clean, and friendly staff

The property is well kept and nicely landscaped. The hotel restaurant is right in front of the beach. The food is excellent and the staff is attentive. The management is great and made our stay very pleasant.
