Chewing gum stuck to the floor. All over the compound. Disgusting

My visit to HOB was a flirtation with the end of my life. It was like visiting a scene from the Walking Dead. Not being from the Bronx, and needing to book a hotel somewhere nearby a meeting I had - I chose HOB - not knowing it is in a notorious neighborhood. It came complete with burned out cars, drug addicts and prostitutes milling around, razor wire, garbage strewn around and flashing neon lights around the property. I left before checking in. I’ve been a global traveler for decades and have perspective in this. For your safety, do not go anywhere near this place!

I booked this “hotel” ( it’s a motel) by mistake and couldn’t get my money back because it’s non refundable. I had no choice but to stay in it. My door was opened by someone while I was in the room. The front desk made a mistake and didn’t confirm that my room was occupied. The room smelled like cigarets and there was some type of insect in the shower. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the slightest noise coming from the other rooms and surrounding areas. I paid $200 for one night, that’s ridiculous!!!
