Anlaby Station

A fabulous experience short stay for our adult family of 6. The Gardeners cottage was just terrific. Everything we needed, atmospheric and terrific provisions. Breakfast & biscuits and fruit & coffee as well as the dinner option greatly appreciated. The buildings & gardens were so interesting - we wished we had longer to do the tour. Thank you!

fabulous hosts with the most unique accommodation can’t wait to go again

Anlaby is set in beautiful grounds, surrounded by historical buildings. The Gardeners Cottage accommodated 3 couples beautifully, with 3 spacious bedrooms (with comfy beds), 3 bathrooms and 3 living areas. Andrew and Peter were fabulous hosts- friendly and helpful. The were many lovely special touches including local wines (to purchase) locally sourced bathroom products, bathrobes, heated towel rails, breakfast supplies (bread, milk, orange juice, bacon, eggs, homemade granola) replenished each day, homemade biscuits, fruit and pod coffee. We were lucky to enjoy a delicious 2 course meal delivered to our cottage- a lovely option provided by the hosts.

We loved everything about our stay- we did have a few issues with water and electricity but these were quickly rectified with a call to the hosts.

Loved our stay! It's wonderful and quiet. The garden is so pretty! It also has EV charger on site.

Location and natural surroundings are complemented by historicity of the property, its tastefully done interior, and some classy furniture.

The doors could not be bolted or locked from inside. Absence of an internal restaurant makes external dining options crucial, especially for late evening arrivals.

I really liked getting the kids out of town and away from anything...they walked about and actually paid some board games we brought...Also can I get the Granola recipe..

Well everything and more. This is a grand heritage property. Andrew is probably the best host I have seen in Australia and we have stayed in quite a few upscale places in this beautiful country. Andrew took care of arranging a Bar B Q for us, did the house and garden tour and went beyond to make sure that we feel at home. the breakfast provided was delicious. The house itself is lavish. I wish I could stay for few more days there. Anlaby station is an experience.. What Andrew has done with Anlaby station ad it's ressurection to it's glorious past it's a great story to be told.
