I enjoyed nice stay

Condo building. No in-person "hotel" staff.

This was an absolutely dreadful experience filled with red flags and scam alerts. It started with a last-minute call informing me that my reservation had been changed due to renovations, moving me to a new location in downtown Toronto. Despite their apologies and promises of a better location, the problems quickly escalated. The original price of $162.90 for one night was suddenly increased by an unexpected $99 cleaning fee, pushing the total to nearly $250. After an hour-long, frustrating call with their so-called "support team," we settled on $200, but they also demanded a $300 refundable safety deposit, which felt suspicious due to their repeated emphasis on its refundability. This raised my concerns, especially after receiving a shady email link requesting personal and credit card information, which my email flagged as a scam. Researching further, I found numerous one-star reviews warning that this company often doesn't return the safety deposit and cuts off communication afterward. Despite my frustration, I eventually agreed to pay the $200 for the night without the deposit. However, the nightmare continued when I received a call at 11:30 p.m., waking me up, to say the e-transfer I sent was to the wrong email address due to their mistake. Overall, this was a terrible experience filled with deceit. I strongly advise against staying with these scammers, and if you do, never give them a safety deposit—they won’t return it.

*****READ***** Booked: economy suite (nothing like the pictures) Deposit required CAD$300 (still waiting for it to be released on my Card) Note: not allowed to use dryer after 10pm. I recently had the misfortune of booking an Airbnb through Expedia, and it was the worst travel experience I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything that could go wrong did. Upon arrival, the property was nothing like the pictures. It was dirty, rundown, and clearly neglected. The sheets were stained, the bathroom was filthy. The advertised amenities were either broken or nonexistent, leaving us with only basic necessities like hot water and functioning Wi-Fi. Communication with the host was abysmal. They were unresponsive and unhelpful, making the situation even more frustrating. When I contacted Expedia for assistance, their customer service was slow to respond and ultimately unhelpful, leaving me to deal with the terrible conditions on my own. The lack of proper vetting and quality control on Expedia’s part is astonishing. I’ve never had such a bad experience when booking directly through Airbnb’s app. From now on, I’ll be sticking to the Airbnb platform, where properties are accurately represented and hosts are held to higher standards. Save yourself the headache and book directly through Airbnb. This experience was a total disaster and a complete waste of money.

Nice place the whole family loved it

Not helpful with customer service, especially giving clear directions how to check in or assist with parking directions. Gave us an out of battery key to the garage and never get back for a new one or any other options! When we get to parking spot of the condo, someone else parked there for two days without moving, and we had to go back and forth for visitor parking.

The front desk security could be more helpful on the first day of arrival at 11 PM. I was left to figure out the underground parking on my own especially when its a bit confusing to begin with. Other than that it was a pleasent stay. The staff communicating over the phone did their best to make us comfortable and provide to our needs. At the end, no complaints but thumbs up.

Overall the stay was okay. Checkin time is falsely advertised. Says online 4pm. But when they messaged us they said checkin is at 5pm. Payment was kind of sketchy. Expedia said not to give out our credit card information outside of Expedia. But the host messaged me and texted me from a random number to pay for the room. Worried we were being scammed. The remote did not have batteries that worked so we had to buy batteries ourselves and put in the remote. So you’re welcome. Room is mildly clean. Damaged areas and old. Location is close to a mall which was nice.
