I waited to gather my thoughts on this. I too am an Innkeeper and wanted to be fair. I communicated all my concerns but the property was very rigid and not willing to compromise to make me happy. I reserved based on reviews of which there were only 4. This should have been a warning. The property is a very beautiful restored castle. The room was exceptional, clean and very unique. We booked a few hours before arrival, looking for a great place with a SPA. There were pictures of a spa. We are frequent travelers in Italy and when rain came we adjusted our bookings. When we arrived we found that the property is VERY REMOTE. That’s fine for a DESTINATION stay. We always get a car for flexibility and exploration. You will NOT be able to dine out,enjoy wine because the nearest restaurant/villiage is 20 minutes away. There is a wonderful restaurant on site, expensive but lovely, but that will be your only option. Once we realized there was no spa, only an on call masseuse, no other dining options, I requested an early checkout. That would have made me happy. The property refused to refund for our second night. This was a reservation made hours before arrival and the room would have otherwise been empty. I think this is a very cool place for a destination or a function. Clearly they are not interested in generating great reviews from people to want to experience the castle then move on. No compromise despite a fair request with concerns spelled out. I would not return.

Everyone there was kind and extremely helpful! The dinner was truly amazing! Had wine on one of the outer gathering areas on top of castle. The view of the sunset was so beautiful! Our room was very large and the bathroom was excellent.

At arrival, the directions were confusing what area to drive to so we could unload. After walking the castle from front to back, I walked up the front entrance of many, many steps. Rang the buzzer and was let in. Then went back down and drove up to the locked door in back which had been unlocked before. Just need more signs for better communication .

Beautifully restored castello, great atmosphere and super rooms. Good food and friendly staff.

Missing some outdoor spaces and a bar or equivalent. No pool Or fitness space.

It’s a well design renovation of a very old castle, with all the modern amenities the one needs these days and more, the views are spectacular from every window and terrace. The included breakfast was amazing, and the stuff was very friendly.

Unique and comfortable castle stay - breakfast prepared freshly for us amazing views from rooms and the roof - we really felt like King and Queen of the castle!

Wonderful stay at this magical castle - staff were very helpful, amazing location and views from the rooms and roof, delicious breakfast was made and laid out freshly for us, Comfy bed and pillows and the included mineral water and nespresso in the room were appreciated - we were made to feel like royalty.
