Rocca di Arignano

One of the most charming hotels! Travel to medieval time with all confort you need. Nice people, the place is magic!

My wife found this wonderful Hotel while searching Trip Advisor for 3-days in Piemonte. Situated about 30 minutes away from Torino, you are anywhere between 30 min to an hour from Piemonte wine spots like Barolo, La Morra, etc. It’s a castle! Rocca di Arignano is a small castle with a medieval look inside and out. It also has everything a modern hotel has as well. My family and I loved our stay. We had an amazing room/loft on the 5th floor or basically the top of the castle. Beautiful views of the Piemonte countryside. We also had our very own rooftop terrace! Ample air conditioning on the lower floor of the room but it was a little warm on the 2nd floor. We also just enjoyed exploring the castle! Beautifully decorated! Breakfast each morning was simple but very good with friendly service. Co-owner Elsa was very helpful recommending some lunch places in the nearby towns. The hotel also features a restaurant but was not open during our stay. Our family all enjoyed our stay, from the views, to the amenities, the beautiful decor inside, it was a wonderful stay. I was privileged to visit this absolutely beautiful venue with my lovely partner on the 3rd of December. The venue itself is a marvellous castle restored back to its previous glory where the owners Luca and Elsa have not spared any costs and have been very careful about every single detail. Being the son of a historian and archaeologist I was marvelled by everything that was happening around me. Once we arrived we were greeted by a very kind and gracious hostess that offered us a top of the range welcome. Once we sat our hostess Madalina helped us to a delicious wine menu. Once I picked my Barbera of choice, both my partner and I looked at the interesting and creative food menu. I am half Italian therefore fully fluent in Italian but my girl is not. I was pleasantly surprised when I asked for assistance and a member of the kitchen staff, Emiro, came out and patiently explained to my partner the whole menu in fluent English. We chose our dishes after some consideration and, I have to admit it was a hard task since we wanted to try everything on the menu. The food was done to perfection by Chef Sgrò and his team and served to us delicately and with careful timing by Madalina. The food was delicious and exquisitely presented. Both of us are used to fine dining in the United Kingdom and abroad, and I have to admit that these guys are not short at all of a Michelin Star (or more)! Well done to the team! Once we finished our dining experience we were ready to go, having the feeling that when it comes to hospitality we found a gold mine! We were unaware that the highlight of the evening was just about to take place…. At this stage we were greeted by Elsa, the owner, who extended her hospitality by giving us a full tour of the castle in perfect English. We were both in awe for her warmth and kindness, her knowledge of the castle and its history, and the beauty of the castle itself. They cater for private functions, and large parties like weddings or business conferences. I really recommend a stay in one of the rooms and perhaps a bit of relaxing in their very exclusive medieval spa! Something definitely worth it! Once we finished exploring the whole venue we were greeted by Elsa’s husband Luca, and what a gentleman. We had a perfect romantic dining experience and are very thankful to the hosts Luca and Elsa, and the rest of the team. Thank you for the privilege. Once we’re back from England we will definitely visit again.
