"THE place to stay in Salem!🎃"

10.0

The Coach House is quite possibly the most wonderful place to stay. We chose it for our honeymoon while visiting Salem, and it truly exceeded every expectation. From the moment we booked, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful—quick to respond to messages and kind enough to let us leave our bags early on arrival. The building itself is beautiful—full of character, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully cozy. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and welcoming, with thoughtful touches throughout. The complimentary coffee and snacks were a lovely extra, and we were delighted to return one afternoon to find a box of delicious Halloween doughnuts waiting for us! The bathroom was spotless and well stocked with toiletries, fluffy bathrobes, and a hairdryer. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the heart of Salem, close to several Hocus Pocus filming spots and the coast. We also loved the thoughtful touch of umbrellas available for guests to borrow in the entrance. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The Coach House made our honeymoon in Salem truly special, and we can’t wait to come back!

"The Amazing Coach House"

10.0

Blown away by the Bed and Breakfast/Boutique Hotel. The decorum says high-end welcome to match the high-end price per night... worth every cent. Love the faceless check-in with quick communication. The location is perfectly safe and convenient for fall night walks to downtown Salem.

"Very Good"

7.0

The location is not in the middle of town, but it was a nice quiet neighborhood. While there wasn’t anybody on site, they did check in with us often on text. The hooks for the towels are on the wall behind where the shower door opens, so when you open the door and get out of the shower, you have to step out and close the door to get your towel. They should move the towel hooks to the other wall.

A $15 voucher for breakfast was nice but the prices at Jaho coffee wouldn’t even buy more than 2 cups of coffee and one donut to split. That’s not much of a breakfast. The code to get in was hard to remember it would’ve been nice if we could select our own code.

"Quite Disappointing"

6.0

The bed was very comfortable and the manager was genuinely friendly. We weren’t supposed to meet her as the check-in is done via access codes, but she kindly allowed us to drop off our luggage earlier, which we appreciated. The towels and bathrobes were also very pleasant and of good quality.

However, the room appeared much larger in the photos than it actually was, and some of the features highlighted in the description (such as the dressing table/mirror) are standard for a hotel room, which can create misleading expectations. The house was also not well soundproofed, which affected comfort during our stay. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the city center, which makes going out in the evening a bit inconvenient. In our opinion, the price is too high for the value offered, especially during the Halloween period when rates seem to increase significantly. The self check-in concept also isn’t ideal for us, as we enjoy interacting with hotel staff during our travels.

"Absolutely loved everything about the Coach House!"

10.0

We absolutely loved our stay at the Coach House! It's a beautiful property and really well kept. The decor is so beautiful, and we loved the "Witch you were here" bench photo op on the second floor :) The shower was amazing (great water pressure!), and the room was so spacious and comfortable. The only hotel I've ever stayed in that gave us adequate coffee in the room, too! It's an easy stroll into town to get to Essex Street (about 15-20 minutes), through a beautiful neighbourhood, and far enough out that you can really enjoy the peace and quiet. Marley was an exceptional personal concierge, and checked in with us frequently to make sure we were happy, or if we needed any recommendations. Also, the keyless entry is incredible! Such a pleasure to not have to fuss with keeping keycards safe! If I ever make it back to Salem, this is where I will stay!

Nothing!

"Mediocre"

3.0

Property was clean and rooms stylish

The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the centre and sits across from a noisy main road that kept us awake at night. The floors are very thin, and we could hear every step from the room above. No staff were available at reception to address the issue.
