Staff was super helpful with my check-in and door code even though I was a very late arrival. Property appears to be kept in great condition and will come back during the summer months to enjoy the lake. Only suggestion is to have more cable news channels available.

I am a tax exempt. ALL other hotels can figure out how to ensure I am not charged or refund my tax. I received excuse and attitude because I booked online entity they could not refund. Well folks I've stayed in a lot of more rural locations on top of cities. They all accommodate and figure it out under the same circumstances. Yes that is fact. I paid $136 for a cramped room with filthy carpet, piles of dirt in corners of bathroom floor, flies buzzing around, patio that was stacked side by side with others and had no privacy. The pictures online did not match what I found. Reality, I work in Madison with 100s of other state employees who travel like I do. You lost my bar and meal business for me and my guest. I will be spreading the word at the state level. Therefore you're losing that business as well. The customer stated all other businesses have figured this out. Yet you chose the be stubborn and non accommodating. It wasn't busy. You had time to investigate and fix it. You offered no solution vs. "you have to accept" On top of poor customer service, the room wasn't worth 136. Filthy carpets. Online photos room looks larger and patio is private. Not the case.

The location on the lake was so beautiful and quiet. The motel was comfortable with a nice deck. The king bed was comfortable but the pillows are pretty flat. They are very dog friendly which was nice. Since it is past peak season, it was hit or miss whether someone was in the office but was not really a problem.

Beautiful place with lots of history. Free firewood to have a fire by the lake in the fire pit. Restaurant and bar are very nice and staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable especially the beds. Overall 10 out of 10 in our opinion. We will definitely stay here again.

Extraordinarily clean! Beds and bedding were comfortable. Loved the view of the lake and also the location. My only recommendation would be to have a hair dryer available for use!

Carpet was stained, countertop chipped and lose, front door wouldn’t lock tight, you could see daylight around the door. No room cleaning, pillows were horrible, Needs an upgrade for sure.
