Carlton Hotel

The room proved excellent value for money and was exceptionally clean. Staff were outstanding and very helpful. Of particular note was the young boy in the breakfast area who helped us facilitate the breakfast upgrade that two of us hadn't pre-ordered. The breakfast upgrade at only GBP4 for a full breakfast was deal of the century. There are also vegetarian options available. Unexpected touches were a drinks coupon, some candies and ear plugs in each room.The location is perfect - right in the heart of Forres.

Old fashioned characterful hotel. Big room .Very comfortable. Friendly staff . Great value. Free sweets ,biscuits and a free drink at the bar

Did not get breakfast and didn't see anyone to ask, had to leave so was not late for lift to work.

It was in a great location, parking outside and the welcome from the woman at the bar was very friendly.

The window frames were not sealing properly and as a result, with the slightest breeze outside, rattled all night making sleep hard

So, for the cost I was not expecting much, bit, the staff were amazing, we were met with a complimentary drink, ok the building is old, but ensuite and bour poster bed was great...and the breakfast was cracking, freshly cooked full scottish..all in really pleased, and would recommend
