The Meranggi

Absolutely loved our stay at the Meranggi. The staff were absolutely incredible and super helpful with absolutely everything we needed. Loved the location (it was perfect for us as we wanted to be away from the town centre) and the kitchenette, bathroom, villa, pool - it was all pure magic. We just loved it. Again, cannot speak highly enough about the wonderful staff.

The only thing to be mindful of is that the menu available is for a nearby restaurant (not on-site). Breakfasts are prompt and delicious, but if you're looking for 'room service meals or cocktails' just budget a little bit of extra time.

Breakfast was tasty with limited qty and sufficient for your morning start. Location of villa was little far away from Ubud market but in a peaceful locality. The staff were very helpful and attentive to cater all your requirements at immediate disposal. They also have 2 wheelers on rent at affordable prices. The private villa has everything you can ask for including privacy.

Things need to change is shower flow was very slow and less pressurized, also the shower water falls very near to the wall , the length of the shower rod to be extended so that it falls on the plain rock placed below. ( only an advice for betterment). rest everything was very well managed.

These private villas are so gorgeous and peaceful. Such a huge amount of space and the facilities were great. The staff were so lovely and helpful the entire time and the breakfast was delicious!

The villa is in a good quiet location. Generous breakfast and everyday room service. The staff is friendly and will help you in any situation you might got. They also provide transfer and scooter rent.

The property itself could use some improvements. The pictures do not show the actual state of the villa. There are countless holes in whole villa (floor, walls, ceiling), which is known by the hosts and through where insects and small animals can get in the room even with the doors and windows closed. I don't mind the wildlife to be in the garden, but not in the room. Closing the door or lights in this situation doesn't help much. Also the spider webs or dry insects hanging around the villa, garden and bathroom could be removed. We also couldn't put our clothes in the wardrobe because of the sand (-ish texture) in every corner. All this summed up made our stay not as pleasent as expected.

The pictures are accurate to what the villa looks like. The pool was really clean too. The garden was also beautiful and we loved the outdoor shower. Aesthetically the Villa looked really lovely and it was fun having the canopy over the bed. We also appreciated having filtered water in the room at all times. Location wise we found it perfect. We enjoyed not being in the busy areas of Ubud and with a scooter nothing was too far away. There are great Warungs and local places to try within 5 minutes ride. (Walking took us about 30 minutes to reach the busy areas, so always an option). The staff at the hotel were always very kind and we felt safe staying here.

Unfortunately one of the steps up to the room doors was broken and as I stepped onto it, it gave way and I ended up falling and scraping my knees (I weigh 68kg). There's also low hanging wood decorations on the door so if you're over 5'6 you have to bend otherwise you'll have a sore head. Overall some maintenance on the Villa would be great. Especially looking at installation as it is quite noisy in the area with traffic, prayers and dogs. I understand the noise isn't the accommodations responsibility but implementing solutions to minimise disturbances would be great as we were hoping for a little more tranquillity than what we had. I would still recommend staying here but it's not as private or quiet as it's advertised to be, in our experience.

I liked the exterior of the villa, the pool, the garden, the outside bath. Everything was very beautiful, comfy and private. Jungle green paradise. Wi-fi is excellent.

The room was not always as clean as I like. The breakfast was pretty simple. When we booked the villa the airport shuttle was included in the price, later we should pay it.
