"Too noisy if in roadside room"

6.0

Location was great for exploring the local area.

The noise if you are on the road facing room makes it impossible to get a good nights sleep... And I've grown up in London! They provide ear buds which suggests they know there is an issue with it but they need to re-do the windows as they seem to be single glazed and the traffic is all night and very noisy.

"Good location, pretty gardens, dog friendly, free parking. Single rooms small."

8.0

The hotel itself is lovely as are the gardens. The single occupancy rooms are in a smaller building attached. These rooms are smaller than in the main building but very clean and tidy. Plenty of free parking on site. Very close to Highcliffe Castle, nature reserve and Steamer Point beach - all very dog friendly. Close to all of the New Forest.

The £10 dog charge per dog per night soon added up - £60 for just 3 days whereas the lodge there charged £25 per visit which seems fairer. The room very small was waaaay too hot and hard to cool down as they are roadside A35 which was not extremely busy overnight but very noisy whenever a vehicle passed at 60mph with an open window. Breakfast was not included.
