"Don’t do it …"

1.0

Nothing

Glass broken in the main reception, no staff after a certain time, the single rooms are in an old run down building last decorated decades ago accessed at night by PIN code doors. Small rooms, when a bathroom is used above, the noise literally reverberates the entire room through the pipes. The windows are so dated that the road noise ( main Southampton road ) is horrendous, they supply ear plugs lol. The road noise is ridiculous on the front rooms . Horrible furniture. I left, asked for my money back, no refunds even though the room was not used, credit card will be contacted. No reply to any emails sent to the property. The worst room I’ve seen whilst working in this area . I’ve never left feedback before on any place, this is the first ……

"Lovely hotel and gardens. Close to beach and nature reserve."

Clean, nice location. Nice gardens. Short drive to the beach and nature reserve at Highcliffe Castle and Steamer Point.

Small single room very hot and hard to cool as busy road outside meant very noisy with window open.

"Cheap nasty furniture. Nowhere light enough to do makeup apart from sitting on toilet. Disappointed."

5.0

Breakfast was too expensive, we went elsewhere. Room was large and good size bed. We were close to New Forest.

We were put at side of house due to road noise, but could still hear, wish I had taken more notice of reviews. Restaurant very expensive, but very clean and staff nice. We didn’t have hot water or heating for a day, NO ONE IN RECEPTION THAT DAY, SURPRISE! The next day the man in reception said that it cost £900 to fix boiler the day before. THAT WASN’T OUR PROBLEM! NO MONEY WAS OFFERED TO US FOR THIS INCONVENIENCE. THE NOT VERY PLEASANT MAN CAME UP TO ROOM AND SAID THAT THERE WAS A HEATER IN WARDROBE, WELL, HEATER WAS TINY. The stopper in the sink was stuck down, which made brushing teeth unpleasant, the not very nice man said that it would be messy to fix, did we want to change rooms, this was on the last night, we said no. Big gaps in bathroom window, so very cold. ANYWAY, WILL NO BE RETURNING. Please read the reviews with regarding to traffic noise!!! Place needs refurbishing, plenty of yoga going on and other classes, so use some of the money to put the place right, or close down the hotel side of it.

A lovely area, Good parking, spotlessly clean, room beautifully decorated and with amazing antique furniture. Plenty of eateries within a couple of miles to suit all appetites and pocket. Fabulous walks in the New Forest and on the coast. Plenty of good places to visit,

Breakfast included?

The views from the room were delightful. Watching the cows grazing and the sun shining through the windows.

That I couldn't stay longer.
