Good location within Ortigia to explore by walking. Comfortable and clean rooms. In lieu of a typical breakfast in the B&B, they offered vouchers to enjoy a nice breakfast in a nearby cafe.

Parking is not possible at the property. The recommended parking is just a 7 minute walk and is 15 Euros for 24 hours at Parcheggio Telete.

The location is the best part of this bnb. I also appreciated having a balcony, loved the fresh bread and juices served at breakfast, and the woman who manages the breakfast and cleaning was wonderful as well.

Update: I see the response from the property and it reaffirms their unprofessional manner and why you should stay elsewhere. I didn’t end up taking the taxi they offered and therefore wasn’t charged and did leave compliments outside of the location. Nice lie though. Original Review: I was disappointed by the unprofessional tone of the WhatsApp communication from Seby. As a solo female traveler, it made me uncomfortable and left me wondering whether he communicates this way with all guests or specifically with young women. I experienced transportation issues upon arrival and didn’t reach the property until around midnight. During that time, I messaged updates via WhatsApp to ensure I would be able to access my room without problems. While he was helpful in arranging a late-night taxi, several of his comments were inappropriate and unnecessary given the circumstances. As a woman traveling alone, stressed due to transportation delays and arriving late at night in a foreign country, I did not find it appropriate to receive remarks such as “I love women who travel alone,” weird emojis, nor repeated questions about whether I was there for work. These comments were unrelated to my stay and made an already stressful situation more uncomfortable. I would not attribute this to a cultural misunderstanding, as his English was excellent. Fortunately, I did not encounter him in person during my stay, as the messaging experience alone was unsettling. Additionally, the rooms were more dated than they appeared in the photos, and there was a noticeable sewage smell in the bathroom. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I would consider staying elsewhere if you are a solo woman.

Mattresses were lumpy.

Aufgrund einer längeren Reise sind wir mit viel Gepäck gereist und wir benötigten eine Parkmöglichkeit für unseren Mietwagen. Der Eigentümer hat uns persönlich sehr geholfen. Das war sehr freundlich. Auch das Personal vor Ort war sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Das Zimmer war für ein B&B gemütlich und angenehm. Das Bad ist allerdings etwas eng und benötigt ein paar kleine Instandsetzungsmaßnahmen. Der Raum hatte zwei kleine Terrassen, ebenfalls sehr angenehm. Das Bett war bequem und vor allem mit 1,80m Breite auch ausreichend groß genug für 2 Personen, was in Ortigia bei vielen Unterkünften leider oft nicht der Fall ist (es gibt meistens nur zu kleine Betten). Die Lage der Unterkunft ist recht gut, man kann alles bequem zu Fuß erreichen, nachts kann man (auch wegen der gut schallisolierten Fenster) ausreichend gut schlafen.

Es wurden unten im Haus bei einem großen Ladengeschäft Baumaßnahmen mit Presslufthammer durchgeführt, die im ganzen Haus während des Tages einen unerträglichen Lärm erzeugten. Man konnte sich am Tage daher in der Unterkunft praktisch nicht aufhalten, weil der erzeugte Lärm absolut unerträglich war. Es wurde bei der Buchung auf solche Bauarbeiten (obwohl diese schon seit längerer Zeit stattfanden) nicht hingewiesen. Es ist eigentlich nicht akzeptabel, unter solchen Bedingungen die Unterkunft zur Buchung anzubieten, zumindest nicht, wenn die Gäste mehr als nur eine Übernachtung buchen. Es gab für die großen Beeinträchtigungen auch keine angemessene Entschädigung.

The B&B was a wonderful place to stay in Syracuse. It's right in the center and surrounded by restaurants and bars. Sebastiano offered us a transfer to the beaches, allowing us to reach everything without a car. Otherwise, Syracuse Central Station is a 20-minute walk from the accommodation. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of sweet treats. I can 100% recommend the B&B with a clear conscience! 😊
