Acorn Lodge Gatwick

Humble but comfortable stay. Shower was hot and great water pressure. Room was clean, just very noisy all night from room above moving furniture until 3am. Restaurant was delicious. There could have been better communication regarding the shuttle service. They told me to call but I'm an international traveller with no phone plan, this was impossible. They should have contacted me to notify me of this option ahead of time as a service.

Nice clean comfortable hotel. Great location for Gatwick. Reasonable airport shuttle as well.

Good place to stay

This was just an ok place to stay. At check in, no one was available and I needed to call their phone number multiple times to be checked in for my room. I'd called beforehand to confirm the check-in time and whoever answered the phone wasn't very business like, just "Hello" isn't how you answer the phone for a business and when I asked if this was the Acorn Lodge I was responded with "Yes, yes, what do you want?". The breakfast is a bunch of prepacked items, which was ok for me, but not anything hot or fresh. The room had patches in the wall where I assume a TV was removed in place of one that sits on the counter with a cable running down the wall and some of the bathroom fixtures were a little worse for wear. It often sounded like members of the hotel staff were having arguments with people as they were checking in. However, some positives were the restaurant on site was fantastic, tasty and well priced! The location is perfect and was walkable to the airport as well as into downtown Horley itself.

Okay place to stay room was clean

The staff were very helpful and it was close to an Asda. The ride to the airport was great!

It was nice, they should have a rule about keeping noise down at night though, especially with the TV as the walls are thin. But staff amazing, it was nice and comfortable and organised.

Stayed for 1 night with my son. Has to be the smallest single bed i have every slept in and i had a nasty bite when I woke up which could only have been from the bed.
