Aveon Hotel

Excellent location, decent food, great customer service, spacious rooms and fast WIFI at a decent price. This is my Go-to place whenever I am in Abuja.

There were only two things, or should i say persons that i liked at this hotel. Ms Lydia in the reception and Mr Obi, the driver.

This was my worst hotel experience ever. First, i paid for a 58 squaremeter room. I got a room which was a lot smaller. After two days, my air condition started to leak water, running like a waterfall down the wall, over electrical lamp switches. Even though we called reception we didn't get any help what so ever. Two more days and the floor was soaking wet from the leak. Now i got "upgraded" to the room size i paid for. "Free of charge" as they said. What the f*ck, i already paid for that room. When i booked the room at Booking dot com, it was written that the room would have a washing machine. There were not washing machine of course. I was told that no room at this hotel had washing machines. Even though i booked for two people, we only got one set of towels in our bathroom. If we wanted extra, they would charge us for it. Breakfast (if you can call it breakfast) was included, but only for one person. Person number two in the room had to pay for it!!! There is NO COFFEE in the hotel, neither is there any alcohol. If you want coffee, you must pay 500 Nigerian Naira for a Nescafé containing 1,5gram. The pool is a joke. no sunbeds and only 3, very worn out chairs, in the pool area. Unfortunately i had paid for 13 nights when i arrived. I was thinking of moving to another hotel after only 2 nights, but i wouldn't get any refund for the nights i didn't stay with them, so unfortunately i was forced to stay my entire trip in this horrible hotel. When we checked out they said i had to pay for two coffee mugs that had been broken. We had missed those mugs, cause that was the only thing provided in the room to drink from, no chinas or silverware to eat with was found in the room. We were told that the cleaning staff accidently had broken them, but to the manager, the cleaning staff said that we broke them, because if i didn't pay for it, it would be deducted from their salary. I turned from Dr Jekyll to Mr Hyde.

Absolutely nothing

I was disrespectfully denied check-in with a weak and ridiculous excuse that the room I booked was flooded, even though I booked a room type, not a specific room.

Some Facilities need upgrading. Pool area roof, bed linens etc

Location and people

I absolutely love the location, the spacious rooms and breakfast. The hotel is a great value for money as well. The location works for me as it is close to the two golf courses I play at

I wish they will fix the lift quicker and the towels are due for change
