Breakfast was good, especially the high quality of ingredients. The evening a la carte restaurant was superb. A real experience & excellent staff. The pool was extremely clean & poolside sun loungers were so comfortable & luxurious.

The room size was extremely disappointing & not keen on the shower being part of the bedroom. We were travelling with 2 suitcases and it all felt very cluttered. We stayed in the Tower room which is above the bar/kitchens. Ok if you don’t mind noise until midnight.

Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und praktisch mit dem Sitzplatz. Pool sehr schön und genügend Liegeplätze.

Die Lage von diesem kleinen exklusiven Resort ist sehr schön. leider wurde uns nicht gesagt, dass die Bahnlinie direkt hinter dem Zimmer liegt und ein grosse fabrik auch noch in Sichtnähe liegt. Die Reception hat viele unsererAnliegen und Fragen nicht beantwortrt oder uns mit platitüden abgefertigt. Personal beim Frühstück sehr zuvorkommend, Buffet etwas klein für meinen Geschmack.

A beautiful and cosy resort just outside Cefalu. The room was stylish and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was so nice and friendly and did their upmost to provide excellent service. The pool area is so clean and lovely. Breakfast was very good and while we stayed at the hotel we had dinner twice at the restaurant Zayt. Would highly recommend the a’la cart tasting menu. We wanted to have a relaxing holiday and that was exactly what we got at Insulae. It was nice to visit wonderful Cefalù. We didn’t have a rental car so it was convenient to use the free hotel shuttle. There is a short walk to nice sandy and stony common beach. We highly recommend this wonderful hotel and honestly we miss it already ❤️

Insulae is a bit outside of Cefalú. Although it’s very convenient to be able to use the shuttle both during the day and in the afternoon - if you don’t have a rental car- the latest lift back to the hotel is at 18.50. But the hotel staff always ordered us a taxi from town through WhatsApp. To get to other restaurants nearby the hotel or a supermarket you have to walk on the side of the main road into town for a few 100 metres which is busy and doesn’t feel safe. After that bit you have a pavement. Because how happy we were with everything at Insulae this didn’t really bother us but it would definitely be a plus if this was a more pleasant and easygoing walk.

The onsite restaurant was probably the best dinner I had in all my travels through Sicily…

Beautiful hotel with amazing rooms. The location is a little out of the main centre but this is why we picked it for a less chaotic, quiet stay. Easy to get into the city with the shuttle bus or a taxi. If you don't want to eat at the hotel there is 2 resturants a 5 minute walk away one authentic Italian and one German. The resort itself was relaxing, amazing staff and the breakfast was quite exceptional with many choices.

Nothing it was perfect

Great service and friendly staff. the reception team were really helpful in ordering late evening taxis back from cefalu to Insulae. The free shuttle to and from the town was also handy. The bar team also make excellent cocktails

The breakfast wasn’t as polished as it could be. Sometimes the empty tables were found to be dirty on arrival and the team weren’t great at checking and restocking the breakfast buffet. Also our room was advertised as sea view, which was slightly misleading as the sea view was obscured by several buildings and trees…admittedly you could see a far off bit of the sea if you stood on tip toes
