Hotel Sonar Bangla Mayapur

A lot. Rooms are better than Sonar Bangla TAKI and property getup is better than Sonar Bangla KOLAGHAT. Very good wifi, even in the room. Facility is new and toilet fittings are top class.

(1) Housekeeping doesn’t carry a checklist. On arrival we found wastebaskets were not cleared. Next day they forgot to provide tea. (2) No conditioner in bathroom. (3) Senior managers shouts loudly on staff in dining hall. (4) Water at canal is dirty and doesn’t have a duck or geese.

We liked the entire landscape, swimming pool, bungalow structures, room, washroom etc. The extra large bed is very comfortable with clean linen. However, one of the two pillows should be a little less thick so that someone like us have a habit of sleeping on a thinner pillow. View of the swimming pool is amazing from our room balcony. All staff behaviour is very polite and helpful.

Although we liked the food quality but some more varieties would have been much appreciated. At this time there are a wide varieties of seasonal vegetables available, but they did not have even had a cauliflower which we wanted to order for the lunch or dinner. There were so many flies in the restaurant especially during the breakfast, we are so scared to have the cut fruits.

The booking rates were 24000.00 for two nights. I was charged 28000.00. for two nights

Buffet breakfast at that room rate was very disappointing. There was only oily Luchi and cholar dal, cold vedu vada and idli, no fresh fruits no fresh juice no egg counter only edible thing was bread again that was only one counter which was overcrowded. There was no sandwiches no proper breakfast item at this kind of room rate.
