"Just what we needed for our short visit to Totnes"

8.0

Light and airy upstairs, nice bathrooms, lots of storage, kitchen well equipped, wooden shutters on the windows, large garden was lovely well maintained and private.

Large living room didn’t feel very cosy and feature bed in the master bedroom was a bit mad.

"And idyllic and spacious barn conversion with all the comforts you could want."

10.0

The house was absolutely stunning. We loved the fireplace, the beautiful garden, and huge rooms. Everything was perfect. Immaculately clean. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed and the little hamper with shortbread and tea was lovely to arrive to. The bath was perfect and has a huge skylight to lie back and watch the clouds. Quirky and massive bed and lots of board games, books and DVDs to entertain. Peaceful and rural setting but only a short drive to Totnes. I wish we’d had longer to stay and enjoy the house.

"Great home base to explore Totnes and beyond."

7.0

We wanted to explore Totnes and the surrounding area over 8 nights with a car and needed a self catering accommodation with parking. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped for preparing meals. Hot showers with good water pressure and fluffy white towels were appreciated . The bed linen was luxurious.

There was a problem with no hot or cold running water and no heat over a period of 24 hours that required a plumber on site and involved the water company which inconvenienced us for a day of our holiday. The house was tricky to find and the driveway was narrow for turning around. The property is located on a busy road with commercial traffic that can be backed up to the end of the driveway.

"Enjoyable stay in a great location."

8.0

Very spacious accommodation. It was lovely having the log burner - just remember to bring logs with you. The barn felt like a destination, not just somewhere to sleep at night.

It is managed through Fresh Escapes, so be prepared to receive lot's of advertising emails. There was a problem with the hot water, but if they sort that out it would be a 9 out of 10 property.

"Schönes Landhaus in der Nähe vieler Sehnswürdigkeiten"

10.0

"Enjoyable, when ever we went back after a day it felt like going home."

8.0

interesting period decoration, it was well appointed, the kitchen was nice and warm when you walked in because of the Rayburn, good kitchen and dinning area, plenty of seating, good bathroom facilities and bedrooms were nice, especially the master, the beds like something from game of thrones, it was dog friendly, most of all i would stay again and you cant say better than that.

The fire didn't have any logs available, i didn't see any for sale locally either, i couldn't get the lounge hot enough so it was a little cooler than i would have liked. the TV remote was a challenge, the steps outside were edged with sleepers and they were a little slippery, the parking area vegetation could have done with a trim to help backing in or out, especially when wet and dark with dirty mirrors and cameras in the vehicle.

"A lovely, stay in a lovely place in a lovely part of the world."

9.0

We like having so much space - a good-sized bedroom each and our own bathroom. We can also spread ourselves out on a comfortable settee each in the living room and still have a settee left over for sitting together. The bedrooms are also very comfortable; I particularly like the four poster bed. The standard of fixtures and fittings throughout is very good. I enjoyed spending time in the large kitchen which has a good range of pots and pans and various utensils. The heating system is efficient and gets the place nice and warm and there's always plenty of hot water. There is a good-sized, very attractive garden which we enjoyed sitting in - but you can hear traffic even though there is a good amount of hedging between the property and the road. The information booklet which is sent to you electronically details everything you need to know for your stay.

There is so much which is right about the property that it seems a bit mean -spirited to mention that the bedroom lamp in the bedroom with the four poster bed still didn't work (it didn't work when we stayed in June)' Also not all the lights in the kitchen were working. The windows could have done with a good clean which really showed up on sunny days. A dishcloth and/or kitchen roll would help with keeping the kitchen neat and tidy. And we missed the welcome basket which was there waiting for us on our previous two occasions; it was still there, by the window in the kitchen, but empty!

"Great base to have when visiting other places. Great barn conversion, very nicely done inside. *****"

10.0

The property was well hidden, very private. the owners did a great job renovating the property. It had everything you needed, it was very warm and cosy on arrival. The 2nd Bedroom has a en-suite which is great. Power shower, wonderful. The bed is soo high :) (slide out steps under bed) but standard bed would otherwise would be lost in the large master bedroom with very high ceilings. Would definitely recommend and come back.

hmmmmmm, nothing

1. It took us a very long time to locate the property as the pin on the website did not accurately match the real location which is tucked away out of site from the road - extremely frustrating. 2. Most of the logs assembled for the fireplace are much too large to fit in the fireplace and there is no axe to cut them to size. 3. There is a large noise when the hot water taps are turned on which disturrbs the members of the party staying in the other bedroom.
