Chateau Mar Golf Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

My daughters and I checked in late Saturday night, and around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, I called downstairs for coffee and towels. We decided to stay another night until our Airbnb was ready. By 2 p.m., I still hadn't received the items, so I went to the front desk. On the seventh floor, few doors down from our room 712 I saw a young woman with headphones on making a bed. I asked her for coffee and towels, which I had requested earlier. She refused, despite a cart in front of her door. I then spoke with the manager, who apologized and brought me the items herself, saying she would talk to the staff. The manager was very kind and helpful,

All in all our stay was fairly disappointing. Arrived to the hotel after 9 pm went right to the shower and became trapped in there as they were no towels distributed to the room. Zero towels phone. Made several calls to front desk after half an hour she had to leave the front desk area to bring us towel towels as no one from housekeeping was responding and I was still stuck in the shower. Photos included document how dirty the room was. Also the fact that the ice bucket was an uninsulated metal bucket that leaked condensation all over the counter, ruining some personal property. There was a listening device of some sort in the room which was not disclosed. I didn’t notice either the ice bucket or the listening device until the next day. Hotel has been zero response after three weeks in communication through phone email and physical written message when we left. As a Wyndham Rewards member, I would not suggest this hotel to anyone else. Very disappointing and they had the space to make up for the poor customer service yet they are still refusing to do so a month later.

Falsely advertised…dirty and over priced. Cancelled with 20 minutes of checking. Paid fully upfront with no refund offered. Stay away from this place.

Nice lounge area and scenery in front

The staff, the rude customer service, disorganized check in and rogue management. Ridiculous hotel restrictions out of the norm. Too outdated. Room had no microwave for the price and didn’t feel comfortable or convenient

When I saw Trademark Collection by Wyndham, I felt it was a going to be a good choice. Instead it was a very, very bad selection. The internet pictures are very misleading. I would not suggest to my worse enemy to sleep there. The name itself is very misleading to anyone thinking that CHATEAU MAR GOLF RESORT is a reputable place to sleep. There were people that was wondering in and out of the lobby that look like they were drug users, a man not wearing a shirt only in a pair of short pants and flip flops; and that place is a good 9 or 10 miles from the beach. The lobby had very little furniture that was so outdated, the lobby and the elevator had a terrible smell. The first bedroom my husband and I was given, there was a verly long strand of black hair, the beding looked dirty, very wrinkly and slept on. Another surrounding of very outdated furniture. A portable refrigerator, about 2 ft in height, that should have been siting on a pedestal, instead it sat directly on the floor. I'm 72 yrs old and I've never seen anything so outdated as such. We went back down to the front desk and reported it to the lady at the desk, and she gave us another room. And there we were again in that elevator that smelled awful. Then a man got on the elevator with a huge flat screen TV, and I asked him, if he was the maintenance man, which I thought was very odd for someone to be moving furniture at that time of night (around 8:45pm). The man said no he was not an employee of the hotel but a long time resident, renting on a monthly basis and he was moving out that night. When we got to the 2nd room on a different floor, that room had a bad odor and the sheets and the top blanket were not clean at all and looked like the beding had been slept on for a long period of time. We went back down to the front desk and reported what we saw, the same as we did with the first room. I told my husband, that I would rather sleep in the rental car, than to sleep in that so called Resort that looked more like a Motel. And Chateau Mar Golf Resort had the nerve to charge a $14.99 maintenance fee too. The Wyndham company should remove Chateau Mar Golf Resort from being part of their Trademark. I did request my entire payment to be refunded.
