Broadway Retreat with free parking

Amazing place for the price. I would stay here again if I needed to be in the area for a week or so. Favorite takeaways are having a full kitchen and being in a nice quiet neighborhood. The decor is modern and the kitchen has newer appliances which was nice to cook on. Bed was comfy for two. It's 25-30 minute drive to Canterbury and 10 to the bay. We stayed there for a week and the place had everything we needed for the price. TV had a good selection including Netflix. Kitchen had everything we needed and was nice to cook and not have to eat out every night. There's a Sainsbury's in walking/driving distance to pick up groceries.

A lot of places could be cleaner, most noticeably the bathroom. There were some 'quirks' if you will. The water tank runs loud and long even if just washing your hands in the sink. Also the shower would randomly turn on sometimes for a few seconds. We struggled with the heaters as sometimes they appeared as not working even though it said it was on. It helped by closing the doors to keep the heat within the rooms. Warning: to get to the parking spot, you have to go through an archway that was a bit difficult to navigate. I'm unsure if a van/suv could fit through it as an FYI if you're driving your own vehicle there. Not handicap accessible. It's located on a second floor with stairs. We were fine with stairs but just wanted someone who needs a lift to be aware there is no option for that. Suggestions to the owner: Buy more forks (only 2 in drawer and was annoying to wash after every use), new bathroom towels as the ones there were old and thin.

The kitchen was nice

No heating in the bedroom, mould on the windows and bathroom shower, towels old and hard , parking space far too small. Not a welcoming home .

The location was key and it was in a nice quiet housing estate

When arriving l, the property appeared to be nice although there was a stale smell when entering. There was no clutter and was a nice appearance but after settling in I could notice the property was not clean. There was skid marks in the toilet, hair in the shower, mould in the washing machine. When settling into bed, there was hairs in the bed and bed sheet didn’t smell clean. I had to move the bed side cabinet to plug my phone in and noticed dirty tissues and rose petals which had not been cleaned up. I had paid for two evenings but only stayed one (I arrived late after a full day travelling and just wanted to get my head down) I contacted the host to explain but didn’t get any responses. I then contacted booking.com customer service who also didn’t receive any responses, only after three emails. Because I only provided a photo and description of my stay, they have declined refunding me for the additional night I didn’t stay. When I called the host to dispute it, he was rude and in his words “I have 50 properties and this is the least on my worries”

Very cosy, really used the space well. Perfect for pets and great location.
