Cliff Haven on the Bay

wonderful view. Probably the best place to stay in Alert Bay. Very responsive host. Comfortable beds. Bright. Great location.

The unit was the perfect distance from town. A 10 min walk up the hill, easy to come and go but no one around when at the house. The balcony was super. Facing the oven and shoreline of Vancouver Island.

This little cottage is a gem! It was very clean, quiet and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The location is very convenient to everything, especially the Ecological Park and hiking trails nearby. The views are superb. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Everything was great!

Can’t say enough about Cliff Haven on the bay! Very clean and fully equipped with kitchen utensils and coffee makers and supplies. And you certainly can’t beat the view! Beds were also very comfortable. The one small issue we had was resolved almost immediately. Communication was easy and excellent right from the time we booked. This place definitely exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend a stay here and are looking forward to coming back in the future.

Wow, that view is to die for! We chose this spot because we wanted a rest day after a multiple-day kayak trip and it delivered. Large, spacious, great sit out balcony with a sensational view and incredible bird life from bald eagles and hawks to little hummingbirds all around. Great shower and coffee (French press) too. It was perfect for what we were looking for.

Some additional soap or shower gel should be provided. And the cooking dishes need replacing or updating. But our biggest issue was not with the house but with the city. Basically we spent one day there, which was a Monday, and all the restaurants in the city are closed on Mondays except the most expensive one. So if you’re planning on spending Monday there, then plan ahead and be ready to cook your own meals (keeping it simple b/c the cooking vessels are worse for the wear).

Love being able to see the water from deck and bedroom. Convenient location.

Hardly any parking

Location and service is all we were looking for and all we find here! Host is responsive, gives us a lot of advice for stay and places for the visit in this beautiful island. Place is clean, comfortable, with bedroom and backyard patio view that we will never forget! Absolutely must place!!!

We have to stay more than we planned

The suite was very nice. The views from the bedroom and deck are amazing. Very quiet.

It was a beautiful stay, and beautiful and cozy and relaxing vibe, 10/10 from us and definitely will be back.
