Host & Stay - Sea Haven

Good location in the bottom of the village with views of the habour from the bedrooms. Spacious comfortable accommodation. Close to the amenites, a lovely little village with nooks and crannys to investigate through the hidden streets.

The cottage has a small back yard, nothing you would sit in, but it certainly needed cleaning.

Location was good, right in the centre of the village with views of the sea by the bedrooms. Large master bedroom. Good facilities overall. Clean except for the areas/items outlined below.

The windows were very dirty, as was the back yard, and the lounge rug needs cleaning. Some handles had fallen off cupboards/draws and not been replaced. It could use a washing machine as we discovered it didn’t have one and there was no laundrette nearby.

Good size accomodation and well equipped. Great location.

Perfect location, good size property for a family of 4. It was good to have two bathrooms. The views from the top room were spectacular.

The property was naturally too hot for us, there was no heating on and even when it was cold outside the property was boiling. The dvd player didn’t work and we couldn’t find the outside bins. I didn’t like how host and stay try to get more money for a deposit/deposit waver, after you have booked. This might make me think twice about booking with them again.

Superb location with a sea view from both bedrooms. Amazing shower in ensuite. Everything we needed was provided at the property. Easy check in, great communication with host..

great location but on arrival first impression not great - cold and dirty -see below other than issues below well laid out cottage, nicely furnished and good kitchen bathroom and en-suite facilities -the owners has refurbished it really well - the host company they use needs attention on maintenance and cleaning standards.

1. the OTT extra charges for damage waiver or breakages - it’s a money making con 2. poor cleaning and maintenance by host company 3. inflexibility of check in / out times and the traffic chaos 10am creates for residents and guest when cleaners can only clean one house at a time - the excuse used to get out by 10! in detail so you can improve: dirty windows on ground level could’t see out the kitchen door - or lounge windows - took us 10 minutes clean so we could see out - basic stuff that on the ground level the cleaners could easily reach as it’s the first impression it creates- the lounge floor and carpet was filthy - dirty stains and not hovered - the TV cupboard with CD snd books was a mess as was the kitchen sink cupboard - no dish cloth , or cleaning materials and one tea towel - no hover to clean up either for longer stays with kids in and out but this may not bother others it did us as we like things clean and tidy and expect it when we pay for a holiday home of this level and rating. The bed in the top bedroom kept collapsing - the slats from the bed kept popping out despite us putting back in twice - the loo seat in en-suite needs tighten up as it was hanging off - simple fix maintenance issues and the bottom of the wardrobe was full off untidy kept spare bedding for change over in a ripped bag - just shoddy.
