Rude and disrespectful kicking me out in one of the dangerous places in São Paulo

Excessive and repetitive communication via WhatsApp…over 65 messages in the two days leading up to reservation Multiple messages about same topic, asked for my documents 7 separate times! And then on day of check in—after 3 pm, notified that apartment was unavailable and they wanted to move me to nearby less desirable location. 20 more messages from them but No instructions on accessing property, entry ? Until 6 pm on day of check in. Ruined my weekend trip. Never again with bot reservation system

A localização do edifício é excelente, para quem tem atividades no Centro de Convenções Frei Caneca. Além disso, para quem gosta de baladas, tem a rua Augusta! Fica próximo a estação de metrô Mackenzie e do lado do Parque Augusta, o que possibilita caminhadas pela manhã.

The price is good

Before booking here, one must know what to expect. Be aware that you are booking an apartment, not a hotel. All my interactions with the service or reception have been very difficult and arduous. In fact, you interact mostly with robots. Firstly, I wanted to extend my reservation by one night, the night before my arrival. Charlie took this opportunity to charge me a second cleaning fee ($30) without offering to refund it. Upon arrival, nothing had been coordinated for me to actually retrieve the room from the morning (which was the reason for booking the first night). The staff only speaks Portuguese. We are indeed in Brazil, but for a lodging service, this seems out of the ordinary. Communication is very difficult. The room is quite clean, but that’s about it. The bathroom had an indescribable sewer smell, a mix of fish and feces. It’s very unpleasant to enter and exit the building with the secure doors always locked, since they don’t give you magnetic cards. On the day of departure, our flight was at 9PM, and we had to vacate the room by 11AM. I have stayed in several establishments in my life and Charlie are the only ones who cannot keep your luggage safe until you are ready to go to the airport. The employees seemed miserable, and uninterested in doing anything other than looking at their mobile phones. Finally, Charlie Augusta is close to an open-air toilet with a strong smell every time you come and go from the building. In short, you definitely have better options in Sao Paulo.

The apartment is nice, safe and in a central location.

Wifi is not good. It keeps disconnecting.

The WhatsApp help person was so patient helping me use the stove! Also the air conditioning was a pleasant surprise!

The neighborhood felt a little unsafe at night, but the location was good for other reasons, near metro and more.
